"alien forged existence"??? Is that how they are referring to God these days????
Given that most of the world's Christians don't think there's anything God given about the modern nation state of Israel, it's hardly surprising if Muslims don't.

even if we were to suppose that the man was referring to either the UN or to the British as being the 'alien forged existence' , it's still an insult.
But arguably a justified one.

I don't think that statement sounds unreasonable. Israel is actively working to keep Iran from developing as the major player in world affairs that Iran rightly should be, and Iran resents it. Iranian officials say a lot of awful things, but this statement doesn't bother me so much.

Back in the 50's or 60's - Iran was set with other countries of the Middle East to destroy Israel.

I dont get why so many hate Israel... arent we supposed to be converting them, not hoping for their end?
Werent the Jews the first to be taught?
Didnt the Lord say like a mother hen He would have them all ?

I dont get it.
I also dont find this as a peaceful solution. Nor do i wish harm on the ones God had set aside to yield His flesh and blood for all of us to be saved.
These ppl are literally the blood of the Lord's humanity... and His Mother's.
Tho they may not be in His Church - it's what He has always wanted because of the faithfulness of Abraham.

Iran wont stop at Israel - they would war on the Kurds perhaps - or the other Muslims eventually and the Middle East Christians [if ISIS doesnt kill them all first]
And it wasnt so long ago - they hated America too.

This is not a beneficial move for the world.
I dont know what the fire from the sky means in Revelation - but nukes certainly have a running chance of being one of the components to an end.

Christianity, while a small minority religion in Iran, is the fastest growing religion in Iran. Christians are generally allowed to worship, buy, and sell as they like and are allowed to hold State positions. Christians are not allowed to proselytize to Muslims and Muslims who convert to Christianity are treated harshly.

I'm not defending it. I'm saying its political rhetoric not to be taken as truth.

Its pretty bold to say - in light of Israel being our allie.
Yet - our government hasnt flinched from that.

And no one finds this odd?

Who - gives the ability to another to destroy another country who alligned to the one you just made an agreement with?...and if it werent ok with Obama - would this leader be so bold [who could be stripped of this agreement] ?

Always look at the whole issue - not the parts - but the sum.
What does it tell us about Obama - hearing these threats but looking the other way and applauding himself for a job well done?

Im highly suspect.
Its just not something any leader would do if they thot for a single minute it could ruin it for themselves.

Iran and its Shia religion theocracy regard themselves as the victims of Islam. Their faith is in the day when Shia rises to its rightful place as leaders of the House of Islam.

The path to that power is through Israel. To any Muslim leader that can wipe the map clean of the state of Israel goes the prize of the leader of the House of Islam.

The region is rife with anti-semitism, and it is daily fare for all readers of ME media. Any leader that will be able to seize the prize will be seen as having been given a mandate to lead the House of Islam from Allah himself.

For Muslims traditionally, the truth of Islam had always been demonstrated by their great political and military success. Israel is seen as the prize that would demonstrate Allah's favor. It would be the murderous act that would be able to unite the Islamic community according to the kinds of principles that Rene Girard theorized.

Given the state of the world today, it is an open question of whether or not the whole world would come together to celebrate with them. The indifference and outright hostility towards Israel grows daily.

What?
It's internal rhetoric, designed to appeal to a supporter base.

That your government is smart enough to recognise it for what it is and ignore it? No.

That he's smart enough to know the difference between political rhetoric and a real threat.

Indeed it does. Im saddened.
I know a teacher from another forum over in Israel and she is Jewish - her brother was killed by a Palestinian while on his way to speak on peace with them to the Israeli government..
She was worried daily for herself and the children while the bombs hit.
She is such a nice person - why cant ppl see they are human beings?

Also - Kerry admitted i posted in another thread - that Iran recently spoke death to America and he knew this and America has been endangered... so Israel is the 1st at bat - we're up next.

I dont understand why this isnt being taken seriously enough.

We're speaking of the liberals in government - smart enough?
You saw another thread - so we wont need to discuss this now.

Most people in any country are wonderful human beings.
The number of peaceful Israelis killed by Palestinians is tiny compared to the number of peaceful Palestinians killed by Israel.

Also - Kerry admitted i posted in another thread - that Iran recently spoke death to America and he knew this and America has been endangered... so Israel is the 1st at bat - we're up next.
A rhetorical rant does not a real threat make.

I dont understand why this isnt being taken seriously enough.
Because it's not a substantial threat.
