Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) found himself at odds with some immigration reform advocates Thursday, defending his 2007 vote against a comprehensive immigration bill and telling an audience hosted by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce that "open borders" were a threat to American jobs.

"There is a reason that Wall Street likes immigration reform," Sanders said. "What I think they’re interested in is seeing a process by which we can bring low-wage labor into this county."

More conservative than Jeb.

No. You're not listening, but that's not surprising as the "lame stream media" isn't covering him as they could or should. Unless he says something stupid like in this situation.
Ahh ... "Secure the border" is less offensive when a socialist says it.

As a Native American, I think it is very ironic and even rather humorous to hear immigrants or the descendants of immigrants complaining about other immigrants and their descendants coming to this country illegally. As I said before, it's almost as ironic as hearing non-native people complaining about the government taking someone's land away from them and forcing them to move. From my perspective, as a Native American, the irony of it all, and even the hypocrisy in the whole ordeal, is just astonishing.

He's got your vote then?

Well see. I do think he's an honest man, though of course I disagree with other views of his. But would he stay that way if he got into power? Or would he just go with the flow...?

We're living in the now and the problems of now. Its not immigration per se, but unchecked, unbridled immigration that is the problem. It hurts all people.

It's less offensive when you don't call the people coming across the border rapists and murderers.

As a Native American, I find it very ironic and even rather humorous to hear the descendants of immigrants complaining about the descendants of other immigrants complaining about illegal immigrants, as if the descendants of prior immigrants had some special claim not available to the descendants of other immigrants. It's almost as ironic as red tribes who claim "we cannot own the Earth", forcing other red tribes to move away, then complaining about having "their land" taken away by the white tribes. From my perspective, as a Native American, the irony of it all, and even the hypocrisy in the whole ordeal, is just astonishing.

This is true. But, you're forgetting that grievance mongering leads to power and wealth in these here nows. The red tribes, who claimed we cannot own the Earth, forced other red tribes to move off to another land. That is fine. But the white tribes did the same thing, which means they have to be villainized, in order to extort money from them.

From what I've seen of him he's pretty hard headed. I'd count on him staying that way.
