Prayer for God to reveal why I can't get promoted.

The prayer I can really use is that I am always asking God to show
me WHY I haven't been given any new opportunities in my career.
I've been here at the bank in the same position for nearly 4 years now
and for the first few years I had alot to learn because I never had a
bank job before...
but since last year, things kept going wrong for me at work and when
an opportunity would open up, like someone quitting, I wasn't able to
advance into it.
I don't understand why God has kept me in this same position and not
given me the opportunity to do better when there's clearly a need in
our lives.
My husband and I have debt to pay off, he needs a new car, we want to
buy a house... and more money would be greatly appreciated.
Yet when I went looking to see if there was maybe another job at another bank,
the doors always closed.
I have been down on myself and felt like a loser for a long time.
I am always praying God to show me a clear reason WHY He hasn't opened
the door. And I am praying for something much more definitive then
just "because I'm not ready yet" because I am ready and willing to
learn whatever I need to know for a better job.
I am hoping there will be a clear reason shown to me soon, like my
husband deciding to move us or something.

Thank you. the reasons i haven't been asked to move up in my current job are clear: mistakes I made prevented me from being a good candidate in the time frame I needed. Yet I pray all the time for a good day at work... a clear mind, caution where it's needed, blessings... and God still allowed me unwittingly do some avoidable things that got me in trouble.
Why the other companies who don't know of my mistakes and only see my resume with all the banking experience don't open a door for me is a big mystery.
