how do you respond to foolish jesting? ex. someone sneezed at work, and someone said "you're going to use up all your blessings" and then that lady said "oh yeah I know, etc."
This is something I really don't like! Or someone will say x and then say "I'm just kidding"

Just ignore it.

I mean what other choice have you really got? If you respond with any sort of comment, then they will do it again, because you reacted. If you can think of something really smart to say they will try and find something really smart to come back at you with. You can't win.

I do ignore it it's just nonsense.

I usually say Good Lord or nothing

I stayed busy when working around others... on breaks I
would listen to the radio or read the bible while eating
lunch-- away from others.
Back then I worked with people who used a lot of profanity
and talked about their sex life all the time...ugh!
lucky you got to choose your activity. We have no radio at all (we used to be able to)
