How about you get a real bible....any of the old bibles will do:

King James bible PSALM 36:6:

Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

There is a BIG diference between "care" and "preservest". The modern satanic bibles are trying to deceive you to worship the earth.

No offense, but I use the KJperVersion as a paper weight.......Anywho, almost all Bible versions have "preserve" and a few have "save" [like the ESV and YLT....my favorite]

http://biblehub.com/psalms/36-6.htm

English Standard Version
Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O LORD.

Young's Literal Translation
Thy righteousness is as mountains of God, Thy judgments are a great deep. Man and beast Thou savest, O Jehovah.

Back to the topic at hand..........

Really, rats shouldn't be confined to small cages just because they are small animals. Having multiple cages with tubes or ladders connecting them is preferred, along with letting them out to walk around when supervised (some people do loose, some do harnesses/leash, some do the rolling ball). They like to move around in different areas and are very inquisitive, so they need space and things to engage them.

No animal that is normally kept as a pet that I can think of would live its natural life in the space that a tiny cage would take up. The same goes for animals like fish- they actually need a LOT of tank space (even goldfish and betta fish) and aren't fit to live in the tiny bowls most people put them in.

Large scale farming techniques used in the USA are really bad about overcrowding and putting animals in very tight spaces. This is very unhealthy for them in various ways, which in turn can make consumers sick. Basically, making animals live in tiny spaces isn't ever a good thing.

Proverbs 12:10 - A righteous [man] regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked [are] cruel.

Wow!!!

That verse is talking about how a righteous man takes care of his animals that he is using for WORK (like a farmer). A farmer with a dead animal cannot do any work.

This synchronizes with Deutronomy 25:4:
Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.

There are so many problems with the ESV and Young's literal translation. For an example, ESV denies Jesus is equal with God the father. Just a few examples: http://www.av1611.org/kjv/ESV_Fruit.html

All of the old bibles based on the textus receptus (handed down from generation to generation) match up. None of the new bibles match up, they all add/remove from God's words.

You're right. God doesn't care about the animals. We can kill them if we want. That explains why if you find your enemy's animal, you're to care for it and return it to him.

Why are you so angry?

There homes?!?!?
Their home is the ocean. Did you not understand what I meant? Forgive me if I did not spell it out in a way more understandable to you....

Listen, God is going to destroy the entire earth and everything in it. A new earth will be created for the saints. So let's not worship the earth and the beasts in it.
We will kill ourselves. God won't need to lift a finger.

Huh?

Deuteronomy 22:1:
Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.

But YOUR enemy and GOD's enemy are 2 different things. God said to forgive your enemies (more to do with faults etc). God's enemies are different.

Psalm 139:21-22:
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

Here, David is hating NOT his enemies...but enemies of God.

Well, this is not the place to argue over Bible versions or the Bible.

Especially with all the "heathens" around here [always liked that word in the KJV] ehehe........

http://www.eliyah.com/lexicon.html

"heathen"
occurs 150 times in 145 verses in the KJV.

Psalm 96:10
Say H559 among the heathen H1471 that the LORD H3068 reigneth: H4427 the world H8398 also shall be established H3559 that it shall not be moved: H4131
he shall judge H1777 the people H5971 righteously. H4339

You need to read the words of Jesus and get current on the new covenant. Jesus said love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Christians are called to love. Not hate. And we're off topic.

Btw, is lion meat good to eat? Just wondering.

.
I've eaten lion meat before. Wasn't anything to write home about, but wasn't bad.

I love me some rattlesnake.

I like pork, but from what I can see, they are no better off than chickens the way they are treated. I do always thank God for any food that I eat.

http://www.christianforums.com/threads/why-christians-do-eat-pork-despite-its.2885502/

1. Pork prohibited in Quran

2. Consumption of pork causes several diseases

Eating of pork can cause no less than seventy different types of diseases. A person can have various helminthes like roundworm, pinworm, hookworm, etc.

3. Pork has fat building material

4. Pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth

The pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth. It lives and thrives on muck, faeces and dirt. It is the best scavenger that I know that God has produced. In the villages they don't have modern toilets and the villagers excrete in the open air. Very often excreta is cleared by pigs.

5. Pig is the most shameless animal

The pig is the most shameless animal on the face of the earth. It is the only animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate. In America, most people consume pork.
Many times after dance parties, they have swapping of wives; i.e. many say "you sleep with my wife and I will sleep with your wife."
If you eat pigs then you behave like pigs.

This is getting a little into the tin foil hate area.

Pork is relatively unhealthy and shouldn't be eaten too often.

Also, my roomate is a butcher, and lamb is disgusting, disgusting meat. Beef, buffalo, and fish tend to be much better (depends on the fish, some are quite wormy)

I think most of you just don't realize how big the earth is. Look up all of the map projections of earth.

NASA says the earth curvature is 8 inches per mile. Think about that for a second.
Your point? If you know how big it is why not just tell us? Think about that for a second.

I thought about that, and that actually has less relevance to this discussion than my last trip to the bathroom :p.

There is no old/new covenant. The God of the old testament is the God of the new testament.

Animal sacrifices in the old testament never gave anyone salvation. In fact, Genesis states...the sons of God begin to call upon the name of the Lord.

Are you saying David, the man who was after God's own heart, is a liar and that when he is speaking in PSALMS, he is lieing?

I guess the topic of the headless lion has lost it's luster.

Try this thread for something different ehehe

My final word on the topic. It was wrong to kill this lion for sport. The dentist has paid a huge price now for his stupidity.

If a lion was threatening my family, I'd kill it. That's because I value my family (and yours) above that of any animal. But killing for sport is ugly and in my view immoral. Fifty thousand dollars could have fed a lot of children. We should be outraged at this senseless killing. And just so it's been said, yes we should be even more outraged at the 3500 babies aborted each day! But just because there are other injustices in the world doesn't mean people can't be upset with this one. We should be upset with all wrong doing. RIP Cecil. You were one magnificent creature.
