Book got wet

I would probably take a blow dryer to it and possibly cry. I would also look on the internet for tips on how to dry it out.

I wish I had thought of that back in my childhood days because when I was a kid I would get library books wet and then I would have to pay the library because of the water damage.

If the librarians already called it doesn't that mean they've already seen your wet book?

Often library books have a film cover put on them before they are loaned out.

Worse is when it gets vomitted on. The library was very good about that when it happened to one of my children.
