Hi i just had a quick question to ask.

How many of you all feel that school is the biggest waste of time and instead of it I could be praying and attending church and worshiping God and instead I'm learning the Pythagorean theorem which will have no and I mean NO use I'm the real world. Really 99% of the things we learn in school will never be applied to real life i just wish that I could go to church everyday rather than school.

Anyone else feel this way or is it mostly me?

Relax , we all feel that way , school does feel uselss sometimes. But think of it this way ; if you don't learn Pythagoras etc then there's no way you'll pass your exams , and no way you'll be able to make money , so you'll never be able to use that money to help others , or donate to the church , if you see what i'm getting at.

School sucks I know , but its only 12 years of your life. Use your time in school to give the ability to grasp life by the horns

Ya I went out of control there but really I don't hate school. I just wish that I could use some of that time worshiping God.

Yea, I agree. Many things we are being teached are wrong too. An example is the Darwin theory. He even said himself it wasn't true.. Though I love school and have good grades, I just want to skip that part of being teached what's not the truth. It seriously makes me sick when thinking of how they trying to make us tolerate other people creating religions and religions to become one. Well christiany will not ever become one with the other religions, ever!

I stay in school mostly for the humanities subjects (English, History, etc.) because I think these are the things which I'll have the most use for outside of school. After Year 7 or 8, most of the maths stuff tends to become fairly abstract and of no particular use for most people; but the humanities become more important as you go along--or, at least, this is my view of things.

That being said, I think maybe you should consult your parents and your church leaders to see what they have to say about this, because even the humanities are things you can more or less learn at home if you're willing to spend time on them of your own accord.

Stay in school. In all seriousness spending your time worshiping and whatnot will get you no where in life.

Actually, worship and prayer, and God's help has gotten me very far in life.

God Bless

Why not both? I study, exercise and do what every normal person does and pray. What's the problem about that? In case you had an argument with an atheist and he won it and made you lose your faith in God believe me you will get it back now or later. It's not a matter of choice. God the creator exists no matter what any one says and sacrifcing 10 minutes of your life to thank God isn't a problem. No one told you to pray all day and night it's enough that you live the way God wants you and to pray just once a day.

Well, I didn't mean completely not worship. That is up to the person. What I'm saying is staying in school will get you places while not going to school and worshiping all day realistically gets you no where beside maybe a job in a religious department.

You might think this is crazy, but I actually enjoyed school somewhat. It gave me something to do and I enjoyed learning things, even if I never really "needed" to learn them. I kind of wish I could remember all the random stuff from school sometime, actually.

Church is only once a week, and if it was every week you'd probably get tired of it. God might not be calling you to some sort of ministry service, and chances are something you've learned in school will be important for whatever job you end up having.

But in the meantime, don't too upset about school and remember that it doesn't last forever. God probably has a much bigger plan in store for you than you can imagine! :)

Getting a good education is a privilege. We are so blessed to live in North America where we are allowed time to pursue learning. For most of us, we have very little in responsibilities and are given time to grow and learn. Some people in other countries are not given the same opportunities. It truly is a wonderful privilege. Reach out and grasp this time; soak up the knowledge and give it your all. We have plenty of time to work in Gods kingdom as adults. The more educated we are, the better we will be able to reach others for Christ. Education is respected in this world. We need to spend time equipping ourselves now while we are young. :)

Very true. I do appreciate how I am blessed to go to a safe school and go to school at that matter.

Just enjoy your school, even when you think that school is very tiring.
Well, i'm Indonesian, and in my country, education is more exhausting, rather than another country.
School started at 6.30 a.m., when you guys maybe still enjoying sleep. We study from 6.30 a.m. till 3.00 p.m. After that, some parents, like mine bring me to something like after class education, to sharpen everything that i've learned at school.
Not that all, we don't get enough facilities in school. Like teachers with a lot of absences, inexperienced english teachers, no afternoon meals, etc. Being a Christian is much harder here. Sometimes my friends laughed at me because i'm Christian. Some people spread hate messages for Christian in social media. So in the end, just thank Jesus that you still have a friendly environment, good education, and nice school.
*sorry for my bad english
