Complex

Hi, (as I said in my presentation, I'm french, so sorry for my bad english).

I am writing in this forum because I would lake to share one of my biggest problem in my life. To be quick, I am a man and I'm 22 and I am 1m60 tall (5'2) and this is my biggest complex and this complex stops me to live a normal life. You recognize that this size is very small for a man. When I go out and I meet people, I have heard lots of things on me (mockery, rude comments). But I can ignore these stuff. But the worst thing is that people don't take me seriously... For example, when I say my age, they don't believe me... I can't stand this size anymore... This size make my life harder in lots of fields of my life (meeting, dailylife...)
So I pray God to make me grow taller, just a little (5'6 for example instead of 5'2). Wen I was 15/16, my size was of 5'0 something like that and I was not complexed by that because everyone said me : "Don't worry, you will grow taller, it's sure, a man can grow until 25 years old" and they gave me example of person they knew... So, I trusted in them and in God and I didn't worried about that. But when I was 18/19, I realized that I hadn't grow up as I expected.
So, today, it's like an unrealized desire if you see what I mean. I am frustrated. It's very hard to live a disillusion... a dream which has not come true.

Do you think that God can hear this kind of prayer ? Because, I can't live (and I don't want) a life like this one.

Benji, I'm sorry to hear of your difficulties. I know how difficult it can be to have people shun you for being different. People can be downright cruel. I pray that you will find Gods peace in your life and that He will show you why you are who you are.

Benji,

I would like to introduce you to the woman in my avatar. The photo is of my great-grandmother who my family refers to as "Little Grandma".

When Little Grandma turned 18 years old she was 29-inches tall which made her the smallest woman in the United States at that time. She toured with a circus throughout the U.S. and became well-known and popular. She was known as the "California Dot". After several years she began to grow and stopped touring.

When she was 42 years old she was a little over 3-feet tall and married my great-grandfather who was of average height. They had one son, my grandfather, who also was of average height. After Little Grandma died the coroner measured her and she was 4-feet tall.

I share the story of Little Grandma with you as an example of a person who lived her life to the fullest despite having social challenges. She had many friends, met and married a man who loved her dearly just as she was, and was able to experience motherhood. Her limited height did not limit her ability to experience happiness.

Instead of praying for God to make you grow, I would like to encourage you to find contentment in the way He created you. You were made just as you are for a glorious purpose.

Be at peace and know that God created you perfectly just as you are.

Hi everyone,

I would to thank everyone who have answered to my prayer request.
I would like to say that, many times I managed to find contentment (I didn't worried about this problem). But there is always something that happens and makes me think again that this problem is a brake for my pesonal development and I can't manage to find contentment anymore. Moreover, unfortunately, the world is made like this, appearance worth more than all.
I have never had an answer from God for this problem, that's why I am still praying him about that.

Father I ask that you be with him now and continue to lead and guide him as he struggles with this issue. Do not worry about your size, if your are tall, short, or whatever, because God loves you and accepts you as you are. He created you to be, what you are. So instead of fighting it, just because of what other people thinks or say, accept who you are, and how tall you are. God created you to be that size, so you are not mistake, and you are normal, in God's eyes. Is not that the most important? Forget what other people say or think about you. You are not in this world, to live according to other people's opinion, and they are not in this world, to live according to your opinion. So, do not worry, but accept yourself, as God has accepted you and loves you! Do not pay attention of what people say about you! People said all sorts of bad things, about the Son of God, Jesus, who was without sin, and was God himself, perfect, Almighty. So it does not matter what they did say about Jesus, because that is just their opinion, and that is it.

Thank you very much for your prayers. I know that God love me as I am and it's my only consolation. But I have to live with people... Some of them are nice and they don't care about my size but the most of the people look at the outward appearance. You know, it's human. I've already heard that we don't live for us but for God and to achieve the good project he has prepared for us ! Yeah, I like that ! But, if God could answer my prayer in order to make me feel better in my dailylife, it would help me to do things that I don't currently dare. It belongs to the will of God and I know he wants the best for me. I am confident in him. Why wouldn't God want to make me grow taller ? What could be the reason ?

One year later, always the same problem : +0inches, no answer from God...
God, anwser me, please !
I think I will go to the hospital for surgery to be taller. I just can't face more suffering. Mental suffering is sometimes harder to bear than physical pain.
