Going to church alone

Sometimes I go to church by myself. I decided that I don't mind it if necessary. A lot of people will not do that if someone doesn't go with them, but the power and presence of God is for you, even if they don't choose to go with you. David encouraged himself in the bible and we sometimes overlook that. Yeah it's nice if you can have the ideal of ppl being just as enthused as you family or otherwise to attend church. But too many times I've heard of faithful ppl that stop attending because of this. I on the other hand will not stop, I will press on! I recently found a smallish church that's more in line with what we believe and I'm going with that. It's only 6-8 people but I know I'm not going to get lost in the crowd!

I actually like going to church alone. Got to do that once, since my family just couldn't come, but I can remember feeling closer to God since I didn't have to worry about looking proper in front of them.

going to church may not be all it 's cracked up to be. I can concentrate on the Lord when ppl are not trying to talk to me. That happened once when a girl met me at church and we sat together. talk talk talk gee whiz

I remember one time i had to take Childrens church. Think the lady couldnt make it. Anyway...I had 2 year olds. I read the bible and they were just talking all the way through it while I was reading and non stop.
Funny thing ...they did listen to what I was saying. But they were talking the whole time and playing. Must be mulititasking???

Anyway, i could have told the the noisy ones to shut up..but the other ones were listening so..i figured those that have ears can hear.
I think its very hard with children as when they all get in a group they just want to talk. I havent figured out a way that will silence them yet. I mean, repeating the rules all the time you do it over and over, but some cant help themselves.

I mostly go alone. My brother goes to the same church sometimes but generally we get there at difrent times so we don't sit together. Ive found for me though IF I can make it (with my health problems), I go. Its scary, and kinda makes me nervious, but I have to, I need to be around other believers.

Well, it looks like God wants me to go to this chinese church in town that my mums friend goes to. Trouble is convincing mum to come along too. But it WAS the church she and dad got married in.
My mums friend said they will have yum cha afterwards..but I dont know how its all going to be arranged cos I will need to drive and find parking and all the hassle that goes with heading into town. :-(
I should have called last night to arrange it but it slipped my mind.
The last week went to church but not many of my close friends were there that Sunday. Although a lady did ask me to sit near her.
Maybe next week? If only church just came to your house so you didnt have to go out...

I feel you. I'm used to go to Church with my family but now I am just the one going. There are times that I don't go to church because I am alone. And I'm bit shy talking to the people beside me that is why I haven't made any friends in my current church.

I got invited to a church quiz night at the other church. Its nice when other people invite you to their churches and give you a ride.
I guess I was going through a dry period. But last Sunday I wanted to stay home and read Leotas Garden. My friend is really into Francine Rivers, and sorry God,I couldnt put it down.
But, my dad and I did watch the ten commandments.
This church does have an evening service but I feel a bit self concious going to the smaller evening one. Does anyone go to evening services instead of sunday morning? Is there much difference do you find?

Sometimes you dont get much opportunity to talk to the person beside you anyway, unless you come very early. Although sometimes the preacher says talk to the person next to you but I cant really do that if someone else tells me to do it for 2 minutes and then stop to start a sermon. i dont know why they do that?! What am I supposed to say or talk about??
