This doesn't phase me that much, as on 7/7/7 the owner fixed up the site then without telling anyone changed the name to foru.ms and claimed that it would remain a Christian forum.Guys I'm leaving the staff and the site because of this - http://www.christianforums.com/threads/regarding-recent-email-blast.7899828/
Soph you are a wonderful person as well as Nana and the rest of you but I can't stay knowing what happened and the trust issue has been shot to pieces. I wish you all the best and may God's Glory shine on you all always forever.
The backlash was severe such that after a short time he changed the name back again but did end up selling the site and this is the third owner since then. This doesn't phase me that much, as on 7/7/7 the owner fixed up the site then without telling anyone changed the name to foru.ms and claimed that it would remain a Christian forum.

They asked me to be a mod once, but I've been a mod before and didn't like the politics when I enforce their rules on people that are their "pets" and get in trouble for it. I keep hoping that they will improve the site but it is looking more and more like they are running out of moneySo I was told. I'll probably sleep on this but don't be surprise if I do end up leaving.

The little group is about all that is left of folks coming and going we all used to hang out in BE but it got to where nobody was even there and when this thread was started the very few of us left came here. When nobody comes here any more then I will probably give up as I feel God sent me here for the time being to minister and encourage folks in some small way. I'm not going to let stupidity of others ruin things.
I don't think I would buy it myself as I'm guessing it is unprofitable and would require a good sized investment to spruce it up beyond just another forumI would so love to buy this site. If I had the money I would at least try to.
just have to pray about it, I don't expect people to "do the right thing" who are in charge these days I just go with the flow as well as possible. I have a feeling the backlash from this episode will probably make them think twice about doing such again. If there was a choice of getting spam emails from this site and not having any forum that wouldn't be a problem as I could just make a filter in my email account to direct anything from here to a separate folder and every once in awhile open it and delete everything without reading anything.Well you and others I have met have been a blessing so coming here wasn't so bad but still can't shake off of what happened.

I think the most needed change is bringing back fun features instead of trying to cater to the debaters who take a lot of man hours to patrol Blessings Exchange only required a few coders and artists as there wasn't a lot of fighting and flaming and goading people were for the most part there to play.I wouldn't buy it as an investment but buy it as to make much needed changes.
From Facing Your Giants by Max LucadoHandling the Tough Times
How do you handle your tough times? When you are tired of trying, tired of forgiving, tired of hard weeks or hard-headed people—how do you manage your dark days? With a bottle of pills? Alcohol? A day at the spa? Many opt for such treatments. So many, in fact, we assume they reenergize the sad life. But do they? They may numb the pain, but do they remove it? We like sheep follow each other over the edge, falling headlong into bars, binges and beds. Is there a solution? Indeed there is.
Be quick to pray. Talk to Christ who invites. “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out? Come to Me. Get away with Me and you’ll recover your life” (Matthew 11:28-30). Jesus says, “I will show you how to take a real rest.” God who is never downcast, never tires of your down days! Just go to him!
