Traffic: what a laughably horrid pile of nonsensical, not-believable, over the top pretentious liberal propaganda (and I am not especially conservative FYI)

Lincoln: and again. Not even about Lincoln, but all about the 13th amendment and a clear let's-kiss-the-behind-of-black-people bit.

S.O.B.: an older film (80s?) - incoherent and painfully dull movie - the low point: Julie Andrews exposes herself. Why not just paint a mustache on the Mona Lisa? Serious gag material.

Beaches: a date movie. Just swimming in sappy and complete with one of the most horrid excuses for a "song" I've ever heard. Even my date hated it, lol.

All Transformers movies past, present, and future (teenage brothers and boyfriend are the reason I've seen them)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Transcendence
The Smurfs
Do You Believe
God's Not Dead
The Counselor
Spring Breakers

I didn't like Saving Mr. Banks even though I really, really wanted to. I also wanted to like Gravity but it was so boring.

I just realized that I've seen almost all these movies on flights. I'm fairly certain the setting didn't alter my perception of them, though.

What are your thoughts of Rolling Stones's list for 2014? Of the movies I've seen on it, I've only seen Annie, Divergent, and God's Not Dead. I actually liked Annie and Divergent. I don't think you'd like them as much if you were over 25. 10 Worst Movies of 2014 | Rolling Stone

Of the ones on the list, I saw part of Expendables 3 and I'm glad I didn't see the rest of it. I watched Transformers Age of Extinction over the weekend and it wasn't that bad. The visual effects were good, but I am a little tired of watching Optimus Prime getting beat up before finally winning every time.

Divergent I liked. I'm looking forward to seeing the next one.

Shouldn't the bar for a film like Transformers being truly bad be that your brothers and boyfriend don't like it?

The slam dunk should be part way through your boyfriend decided he would rather watch that chick flick you were talking about.

In contention for worst of all time is when your brothers decide the same thing.

I saw a movie called "Cabin Boy" with Chris Elliot years ago on a day me and a buddy were bored. I walked out half way through, and hated it so bad I wanted to set something on fire.

Batman & Robin sucked pretty bad.

On the flip side, when I saw Rushmore in the theater, I was laughing so hard at certain parts I was crying and in pain.

I would hope not. I would hope people don't base their opinion of a film on other's opinions, but make up their own mind. But to each their own.

I'll add "Sphere." An all-star cast and world-famous author combine to form a sci fi piece of junk I'm sure they'd all rather forget. Dustin Hoffman, you're not a fit for sci fi, get over it.

Seems like you totally missed my point. A really bad film is not one that people well outside the target group think sucks. it is one where people dead center of the target group think it sucks.

Toy Story 2 and 3.

The first movie was sarcastic and mean, in the sequels the toys are more loving and obnoxious.

I have no idea why the other two films are rated so highly.

I actually have to agree with you on being confused as to why Toy Story 2 is rated so high. The first Toy Story is one of my all-time favorite movies. The second one, while I still watch it, makes me cringe. There are so many awkward things about it. I have noooo idea why some consider it on par with the first.

But I loved Toy Story 3 :)

Oh man, where do I begin?

Gigli
Battlefield Earth
Heaven's Gate
White Chicks
Mac and Me
The Garbage Pail Kids Movie
Angels and Demons
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
Metal Tornado
Fifty Shades of Grey
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III
Amores Peros
Sphere (amazing novel but HORRIBLE film)
Timeline (again, another great Crichton novel that they butchered)
Breaking the Waves
In the Mood for Love
Batman and Robin
Event Horizon
Noah
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
The Last Airbender
Scary Movie 3
Jaws: The Revenge
Conan the Barbarian (2011 remake)
Bloodrayne

I'm sure there are more but it makes my head hurt trying to remember all of them. I majored in film and I've sat through a lot of crap, but these were so bad, depressing, dull, uninspired or just plain asinine that I had to struggle to make it to the end.

I enjoy movies that a lot of people would hate, but these are my top ten of the worst films ever produced.

- It's Alive (1974)
- Laserblast (1978)
- Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979)
- Conan the Destroyer (1984)
- Commando (1985)
- Batman & Robin (1997)
- Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (1999)
- Catwoman (2004)
- Red Dawn (2012)
- Noah (2014)

I agree with the Catwoman movie, especially. I am surprised it didn't ruin Halle Berry's career.

As much as I appreciate the talent of Lucille Ball, there is one movie she starred in that I did not like at all. It's called Mame, and I saw it a few years back on a TV station which aired old movies. Lucy had proven herself to be a versatile actress even though her strength was comedy, and was mainly known for high-quality entertainment. This film, however, did not show her at her best.

There have been a quite a few terrible movies I have seen here and there during my lifetime, but this one for some reason really sticks out right now.
