Thanks for posting that BL.
Some of the responses were also very insightful.
You're welcome! There was a thread years ago about this very topic. I can't remember if it was in the marriage section or here, but I do remember that a lot of Christians thought pole dancing classes were "okay" if it was within the context of marriage. I really respect Harmony's viewpoint and couldn't have put it better myself!

I love pole fitness. It's a way to feel like you're flying when you're just a human girl. It also helps you to be more mindful because of the concentration it requires, and it builds up your muscles without making you bulky. Plus, it's empowering, confidence-promoting, and fun for many. I've been practicing it since I was 8, long before I even had knowledge of strippers or other connotations. I don't see it that way at all. I never have because it's completely removed from what I do, just as exotic dancing has an entirely different context than ballet. I was very involved in gymnastics at the time I began, and I saw that pole similarly to how I did the pole apparatus. One was simply vertical rather than horizontal. It's already a recognized sport in Europe and people have advocated that it be included in the Olympics.

This is the sort of pole dancing I did, but not as fantastically as this girl:

Pole fitness has become a major trend in Los Angeles, with studios all throughout many areas of the city. It's also help to bolster interest in aerial dance like aerial silks and lyra.

exercise classes of all kinds help build confidence, self esteem, and improve conditioning

consider this:

https://www.yahoo.com/style/belly-dancing-cured-my-depression-and-saved-my-128307759783.html

as with almost all videos on youtube you will notice that the audience is almost exclusively female whether in pole dancing or belly dancing performances as these don't really appeal to men - therefore, there is nothing sinister about these arts and ladies should have no qualms about doing them to improve health and self esteem

for those of you who are considering the exercise ~ go for it!

This has been moved to the Sports section so make sure you double check your wording to make sure it's appropriate here. I deleted a couple posts because the content was too "adult" for the Sports" section :)
