One of the band directors at my college and who used to be the head director as well as a School of Music administrator passed away on July 4. He had been conducting his community band at the city festival and had a heart attack almost immediately after the band finished and was off stage. He was rushed to the hospital but passed away at 10:30 pm. His band was opening for the city symphony orchestra which a few of our music school faculty are also members of and they saw what happened. Please pray for Mr. J.'s family as well as his colleagues who were there to witness what happened. Thank you.
