• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Molds and funguses. Cannot eat Bleu Cheese or mushrooms, to name a few. Didn't always have this. After the birth of our son, my system changed. Starting getting migraine headaches and couldn't figure it out. Went to doctor and was referred to specialist and this is what was discovered. Avoid molds/funguses and no migraines or faintness or shortness of breath. Can't even go into a musty basement for long. Or handle moldy/musty books or clothing. I used to like mushrooms too.

I'm allergic some kind of medicine. And hunni is allergic to bees. :(

I am allergic to wasp stings. I developed the allergy about 20 years ago. My daughter is allergic to something in honey loaf lunch meat. It caused a major reaction that sent her to the emergency room. We try to be careful since my sister died from an allergic reaction.

I have no allergies except to aspirin. I can't tolerate cigarette smoke, I can't breath around smokers, cigarette smoke makes me feel like I'm strangling or something, but I don't know if that's called an allergy.

Actually it does sound like an allergy. I would advise you to be careful when near smokers.

I just remembered a couple. Aside from aspirin and cigarette smoke I'm also allergic to sea food and I recently found out I'm allergic to those milk drinks. I tried drinking them for a while in place of real milk but after a little while the milk drinks didn't agree with me.
