In my belief there is no such thing as "Christian Music". Music itself can't be Christian. The first hymns, back in the ancient days, used to be criticized by others as "belonging in bars" which is exactly what is said to either rap or metal in churches, but any genre can exalt God's name. The lyrics are themselves what show an influence of Christianity and God, but what is it that makes the lyrics Christian? Divine revelation. If God is the first inspiration and the only inspiration for the lyrics of a song then that, in my opinion, makes Christian lyrics.

People make the mistake of listening to the instrumental and vocals and assuming what type of music they are on that, if they have heavy guitars and screaming, they must not be Christian. Me as a Christian, if I was in a band I would scream to the top of my lungs for the Lord, I would want us to make as much noise as we can.

Look at the band Mortification, which is so heavy they make Killswitch Engage look like the Sunday choir. Of course the band Mortification is a highly anointed band with a mission for Christ. Bands like Payable on Death, Killswitch Engage, and many others are a great way for the Lord to connect with the youth of today. I know this since my time as a youth pastor we turned kids onto tons of Christian music including everything from rock, metal, hip hop, etc.

Not only that, but Killswitch Engage is an awesome band, they know how to bring the rock.

I have read tons of their lyrics and i have to say I find some kind of Christian or positive message each time. Their songs seems to speak about several different issues one may face. I think bands out there like this are great for youth that are new Christians but aren't interested in your basic contemporary genre. One misconception of an unbeliever is that becoming a Christian means that all the fun ends, and that you have to begin living like the Amish. I really admire bands like this that are not afraid to express their faith while being in the mainstream world.

Not satanic, not Christian (although there are Christians in the band) and certainly not worth anyone's time.
Lyrics are definitely resonant of a Christian influence, for example: "so choose this day whom you will serve, to bring the light in a darkened world" one of the best metal bands on the planet!!!

Honestly, who cares? They aren't satanic but they suck so bad you shouldn't listen to them anyways.
Lol bad by whose standards? I imagine one who takes the time to ask about lyrics likely already likes the band associated with it.
