Our Lord DOES answer prayers. Now, I know this will sound odd, but read it through, and you will understand.
As you know, I had been dreading the idea of going home, I had prayed for the Lord to block it. Well, yesterday, my aunt calls and tells us not to come!!!!!!! I was hurt that she did not want me, but relieved at the same time. Steve was devastated. I called up my best friend in Cle Elum, where I use to live, and told her the situation..., before I could get the question out of mouth, which was asking if we could stay with her for a little while, she said "YES no worries", and she even said we could bring the doggies, but I am going to board them at a kennel here. We know a person who owns a kennel, and he is going to give us a great, long-term stay rate. They have stayed there before and seem to do well, I always worry about little Bella, but hopefully, she, too, will be OK. I know Laddie will be fine.

This is what I had always wanted, you see, my aunt is sweet, but very hard to live with, and she has these mood swings, like this time, this is not the first time she has told me not to come, so, I am not surprised, and the fact that I had prayed for it to happen. I love Cle Elum, I lived there for so long, sure, it will seem odd without my folks or Jim there, but, that is good, I need closure. I will be able to look for work there and it will be so good, I also have a great chiropractor there, he knows me better than any other ever has, plus regular doctors. Ohhhhh, I am soooooo happy. Everything seems sooo good now. I will be able to attend the church there again as well, I was wrong to have misjudged them, they are a wonderful lot, and now I appreciate them. Man, I am thrilled and hyper. LOL.

Please do keep praying, as we can only stay with my friend for a few weeks, we need a longer time there for me to find work, etc, so, please pray that we find a place that is not too expensive on a month-to-month basis until all get settled. Steve will still return to NZ, but, I hope to stay in the states if I have a job. There is still a lot in the air, but, we are getting there.

Hi guys Hope you're all doing well!

This morning we had communion at church. I always appreciate when we do it because it is a privilege to be able to slow down, clean the slate, and remember what Christ has done.

One thing that occurred to me is that a lot of churches only do communion once a month, if that, and some only do it on Christmas and Easter. Some denominations make a big deal out of a child's first communion, while others don't make any deal out of it at all. And then there are all those Christians at home, who can't attend church (illness, old age, living in an unsafe country, etc) and they miss out on it, or some may disregard it all together, thinking that it's not really THAT important. There's so many different opinions on it and sometimes I feel like the importance of communion has been lost.

As my pastor said this morning, having communion is like having communion and connection with Jesus. When Jesus broke the bread and took of the cup, he gave one simple command: Do this in remembrance of me. How often do we really pay attention to that? If that's something Jesus specifically asked for us to do in remembrance of him, shouldn't we be doing it, and shouldn't we be doing it very often? As much as I have departed from the Christian sect that I grew up in, the one thing I appreciate about them is that they have communion every single week with no ifs, ands or buts. I miss that one thing about them. in the Scriptures, it seems to point to it being done when they gathered together on the first day of the week, which we know as Sunday. Not once a month, not twice a year, but once a week.

If you can't get to church, or don't go to church, you can still do communion at home. It doesn't have to be anything big. It doesn't have to be a ritual. It doesn't have to be done in any special way. Just look at the way Jesus did it with his disciples, and that is all you need. My wish is that churches wouldn't be put off by the cost of the bread and wine (grape juice lol) and would be willing to serve communion every week. Just before communion is served, we're given a moment to reflect on our lives, to make sure we've cleared the slate before God. I appreciate that moment because sometimes, it's easy to get caught up in myself and in what I'm doing or what's going on with others in my life and I forget to clear that slate with God.

Communion isn't just something nice that we "should do". It's something that Jesus asked us to do, and it is one way we can show our dedication and obedience to him, no matter where we are. Tell me this: Is it important that you spend time with your loved ones? Is it important that you sometimes sit down and have a good talk with them about this and that? Is it important for you to nurture that relationship? If you feel that way about your loved ones, then why not feel that way about Christ? He gave everything for us. Taking a bite of bread and a sip of juice and taking a moment to reflect in remembrance of him and what he did for us should not be so hard. It is very important, and shouldn't be taken lightly, nor should it be disregarded.
