Yeah yeah everything is always the Church's fault.

Spin their apathy as you wish but in the end it'll always come down to the godless having a negative view of Christ's Church because we don't call sin a virtue like other heretical Christians.

Parents like this girl's will teach their kids about how the Catholic Church is a bigoted group and should be hated.

So excuse me if I don't celebrate the LGBT continued PR wins.
^True.
The girl was already well groomed.

All I wanted to do was so a little girl displaying a really impressive amount of courage in a public situation.

Even if you don't agree with the underlying philosophy you should be able to appropriate the act.
Why?

The only reason she looks so strong is because she is defending gays.
What would Jesus think of this little one supporting something He sees as an evil?

She is standing firm against the man's words about loving Jesus - and she needs commended?

Yes, she does.

Character counts for something WA.

And I really am in a quandary as to why you think defending gays make people look stronger. Unless you think that it take more character to stand up for an oppressed minority.

Which it does but I don't see why you'd point that out.

Yeah she did look pretty in the summer tie dyed dress and the multicolored shoes and braided hair

Somebody took some time to make her look good.
I was politely suggesting brain washing.
Just as we know prejudice against races and colors can come from guardians or respected elders - so can come a convincing argument that gay pride - marriage is about good and love.
Many can become susceptible to this sort of argument in adulthood - so it's so much easier to 'groom' a child to believe it and accept it once they get past the instincts to recoil from it when they are aged 5 or 6.

Anything just so long as you don't have to admit maybe the loyal opposition might have heartfelt beliefs that they will stand up for.

Taking advantage of a little girl to advertise for the abnormal and sick antiChristian agenda, halleluja!
lets celebrate that the gays now have stepped up the game using brainwash of small girls to spread their perverted sexuality!

Im baffled some people can even claim to be catholics while endorsing such filth, it really beats me...
There are wolves inside among the sheeps that for certain...

How many forces in the course of history have tried, and still do, to destroy the Church, from without as well as within, but they themselves are destroyed and the Church remains alive and fruitful! She remains inexplicably solid, so that, as Saint Paul says, she may acclaim: “To him be glory for ever and ever” (2 Tim 4:18).

Everything passes, only God remains. Indeed, kingdoms, peoples, cultures, nations, ideologies, powers have passed, but the Church, founded on Christ, notwithstanding the many storms and our many sins, remains ever faithful to the deposit of faith shown in service; for the Church does not belong to Popes, bishops, priests, nor the lay faithful; the Church in every moment belongs solely to Christ. Only the one who lives in Christ promotes and defends the Church by holiness of life, after the example of Peter and Paul. - Pope Francis

Maybe no one sees him as having much character. I mean, seriously, who takes on a little girl ?

It's a losing proposition on a variety of levels.
IMHO he wasnt taking her on - but felt his message might penetrate her being she is young...
Not to follow the world and find that Jesus does love her.

Maybe you dont agree with his methods - they may work - they may not - but she had to be thinking about what he was saying.
Maybe - in some distant time - she will better reflect on that moment...which i hope so.

Depending on how one views the issue - is how one may attack him personally or may see what he was trying to do.
He didnt attack her, ridicule her or otherwise mistreat her.
That she stood there for any time - means she was hearing what he was saying. Something she likely had not heard before.

I rewatched it - and she was standing there briefly listening to him - which is when the pro-gay's surrounded her and distracted her with high fives.
Did they feel threatened?

Her facial expression changed from contemplation to obstinence once that happened.

Well, the gay world took her on and gave her a perception they wanted her to have.
As i said children learn prejudices - and such from guardians or elders...obviously she is embroiled in that world and it was them who did that to her. Not him.

So who takes on a small girl? They did.

Her name is Zea. Story is she stood her ground with this guy for 8 minutes before she turned around and walked away. The video and explanation on this event doesn't seem to indicate that anyone put her up it.

I didn't have this much guts when I was 8. Even if my mom was standing behind me.

Sad. This man is just trying to save her. She has been deceived and he obviously cares enough to try to help her.

Has shouting at random people ever convinced those people of anything?
Let alone be considered compassionate?

This kind of preaching seems little more than a cathartic outlet for the preacher, which I find inappropriate in general(shouting at random people) but especially when directed towards young children.

If they want to protest. then protest; don't start picking out people to shout at.

This kills me:

A first-grader named Zea was captured by photographer Mara Gruberas she faced down a street preacher holding a sign saying “Jesus Saves from Hell” at ComFest in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday after the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on marriage equality.

She was offered high-fives from passers-by as she stood courageously with her rainbow flag in the face of hatred.

In the face of hatred??
Since when has speaking of the Lord's love been hatred?
That anyone applauds this whole thing is not in my capability to understand.

True. He should be yelling at the adults who brainwashed her into believing that something that is evil is good.
