DC Comic Movie Lineup Through 2020 Announced!

DC has really dropped the ball as far as their comic book movies are concerned.

Marvel has been cleaning house, making good films that tie into and leverage one another...

With the exception of the Dark Knight and Batman, the DC movies have been horrifically bad...

Problem with DC Comics is they have a tendency to butcher the source material and experiment.

JLA is up in the air, it appears they have chosen to paint their whole JLA franchise titles in a decidedly dark pallette a la Dark Knight dark. *The Batman growl grrrr*

However, next year's Suicide Squadron might rock!

Also, I love Captain Marvel and it is going to have Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam. I anticipate this one more than the JLA movie quite seriously.

I almost believe that DC (everything but Batman) is trying to make the worst movies possible. I feel its unconscienceable, I mean, all the GREAT source material they have at their disposal and they can't put decent movies. They've got Wonder Woman and the Flash and neither has yet made it to the big screen yet.

I don't really have high hopes for the Justice League, thankfully, at least that had a great animation series (which I'll just assume you've seen). In fact, the animation for the JL do it justice and have provided me hundreds of hours of entertainment so thankfully there is at least that.

Captain Marvel has potential to be bad ass.

Suicide Squad I think will be decent, the Joker is in that right?

However, Barry Allan is played by Ezra Miller of The Perks of Being A Wallflower fame. He does not fit my vision of Barry Allan at all. Miller is small. The dude is thin as a rail at 5'11". Maybe they will have him beef up for the role. But Ezra Miller ... Barry Allan... come'on man.

Yes, Jared Leto plays Joker and Ben Affleck plays Batman, both will make appearances in Suicide Squad.

Imo, they are years late in a Wonder Woman and Flash movie. Seriously, these should have been right out during all the Super Hero movie crazy circa 2003... Again, DC drops the ball.

Unfortunately, I didn't see Perks of Being a Wall Flower so I don't know his acting chops, but 2 years is more than enough to beef him up.
