Hiiii everyone, my names Sarah. I'm kinda new to this Christian thing, sorta. I was raised Christian and went to church and my parents were raised by the Gospel but I never really felt a connection with God, but rather that I just attended Church because that was the thing my family just 'did'. Anyways, looking forward to learning new things and hopefully having a relationship with God. P.S anyone who loves cats is fab in my books xoxo

Hi xoSawah, I found your post to be similar to my own story. I was raised a Christian too and believed whole-heartedly for 18 years. I too have never felt close to God. I was confused by how He says He is like a father to us, but does not talk to us like fathers (or parents) do. I am not close with my father, but he talks to me and has hugged me, so I wonder why God hasn't. Why do you think you never felt close to God, and how did you come back to being a Christian?

Well I was young at the time and stopped going to church when highschool first started- was a typical teenager that didnt want to get up early on sundays. Well i don't even know if i am back as one now, I'm really just TRYING to be one currently and thought that this forum might help me stay focused on God and lead my way back to what I know is true.
