I guess I am speculating as to an appropriate RPG as well as an appropriate storytelling ventures for me to be invloved in.

2 Corinthians 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Would God allow timetravelling? Does this goes against the knowledge of God?

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

If we acknowledge that Jesus is Lord and that all things work together for the good to them that love God, and thus we are to forget those things which are behind us..... why would God allow timetravelling then?

If God did allow timetravelling, or approve of such vain imaginations, what would be the parameters?

#1) Man could not control the means of time travelling and thus it would have to be an anomaly that God permitted to exists since Jesus Christ is the Alpha & Omega.

#2) It could not be a timeframe that would alter history of the person travelling through time, and thus it would have to be before the flood.

#3) The only cause for this venture would be to carry a warning forward to the present of how close the times are to God's future fiery judgment.

But then again, one can get the same warning by just reading the Bible.

And yet again, believers have had divine intervention in real life to confirm the written word.

So is it wicked to even consider this venture in the realm of the imagination?

Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually....

Genesis 8:21 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done....

Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Ask yourself, "is it against the knowledge of God to travel up (height), or forward (depth), or sideways (length)? If not, then why through time which is nothing more than just another dimension. Actually if string theory is true then there are eleven dimensions in all. So take your pick. Any of them are just places in his creation (the universe). When God gives a dream or a vision isn't it coming from or going to another dimension? Didn't Paul reveal that he traveled to another dimension? Didn't Ezekiel see vehicles from another dimension and actually travel in them? I admire your zeal for not offending the knowledge of God, but we are told to seek spiritual gifts and to travel through time would certainly qualify as such a gift. What about John and the book of Revelations... he was shown things that were, things that are and things that will be. God bless you my friend.

Interesting.

Some points to ponder then. Hmmm.........

Course, I do not believe it was determined by John's nor Paul's testimony of John as to whethor it was in the body or out of the body:

2 Corinthians 12:1It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. 2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)

I reckon I shall lean on Him to honour Him if and when I write this story or RPG here.

I personally don't believe time travel will ever be a reality, but that doesn't mean God disapproves of us thinking about it. I personally believe repentance and forgiveness are dependant upon a cause and effect time flow, do for salvation to work, time travel can't happen. But it's one of my favorite kinds of science fiction and it's a genre that inspires the most creativity and critical thinking. I don't think there's anything wrong with it.
