Urgent prayer request for 4 y/o boy!

Update: He was off the bi-pap for 12 hours as of their last update. They were also able to lower the pressure in the bipap mask when they put it back on. He has been eating a lot. He threw up once, but apparently that has been a daily occurence and this time he didn't throw up any blood, so that was good. They said his personality has come back and that he made his grandma sing to him over and over all day, watched TV, wanted Mommy, and didn't want the mask back on. They have started to wean him off some of the narcotics they had added last week. They were thinking he might have been able to take a walk this afternoon - haven't had an update to see whether that got to happen. Also, his mom said "E's WBCs are holding steady, and his hemoglobin is holding longer than it had been. I'm hoping he starts making his own red blood cells soon. He will probably need platelets tonight. Platelets are the last cell line to be produced by new bone marrow. Please keep praying."

We're on vacation so I haven't been online lately, but I wanted to get on and update on my friend's grandson. He was doing really well (viral load went from 900,000 something to just 200 - not two hundred thousand- two hundred, immune system cells were starting to be produced, breathing improved, etc etc). Well, everything is still looking good in terms of his new immune system and the viral drugs are definitely working, but for some reason he is getting wetness in his lungs that showed up on xrays and he is having issues breathing again. They are really having a hard time right now. Here is the latest update: they need prayers!
Day 83. E. is super uncomfortable and is having a very hard time calming down and settling down in order to sleep. So he's mostly not. It's awful.
His breathing is slightly worse. His last two X-rays (this morning and last night) are actually showing his lungs becoming more wet. They keep taking off more and more fluid and it doesn't seem to help. We have asked for a pulmonary doctor to consult. Hopefully that will happen soon.
Keep praying. Something has to give at some point

Viral load is less than 190. They found out he has pneumonia and he has been put on new meds which appear to be working so far.

Heavenly Father, have mercy on this little guy. Save him O Lord, heal him completely and restore him to full health. Your Will is that all should be well. May he continue to make progress beyond everyone's expectations. Thank You that Your Hand is upon him and Your protection is over him. I ask that there will be no further complications and he will continue to improve from here on in, In Jesus Name, Amen.

E. rapidly deteriorated and had to be put on an oscillator under sedation. They are hoping to keep him comfortable and alive while changing meds. Definitely in need of prayers!
