Hi Christians.

I feel like I am at a cross roads.
I feel lost and confused and lonely but I feel hopeful because that is what is keeping me going.

I recently graduated from college. I am away from home for six months.
When this is done I will have to go back to my home country and get a job and be at home which is very depressing.

I do not come from a very god home. Even though I love the members of my family, our home is not very stable.

I am 23 and I feel the pressure to do something with my life and 24 creeping up on me.:o

I also feel lonely. Like I do not have real friends, I have people that I get along with sure, but not real heart to heart friendships.

I do not like guys, I do not trust them but I feel like I want to be in a relationship.

I do not like feeling like this.

Any Advice dear Christians.

I would really appreciate.:)

When I've attained goals, and haven't had another goal, sometimes I have felt confused and uncertain. It was like driving without a road map. Once I set up new goals, I was able to find the path of direction again.

Perhaps as you've just accomplished one goal (School), you are still needing another goal for the next step.

The other thought I have, is that feelings can change. The question is what is the evidence or truth of our situation? Sometimes I have to remind myself that my situation isn't as bad or blah as I feel it is.

Thank you for your thoughts, really eye opening.
To answer some of your questions, I studied hospitality management and I did go to counseling at school when I was small and I could not trust the counselor to keep my issues confidential, I got a lot of pitiful looks from other teachers. So I am not a fan of that kind of thing. This is my therapy.

I guess I just have to remain positive and strong because 'Faith makes things possible, not easy'. I guess I am scared of growing up.

Thank you all, God Bless

As Christians we are to bear each other's
burdens, support one another/encourage/
show agape etc.

Does your church not have a ladies prayer
group?
Do they not pray for others and one another?

You don't have to tell everything, just hit the
key points -- you can share everything with
God via prayer.

Growing up is scary sometimes, but we don't have to do it all at once, nor do we have to sustain it all the time. With good friends you will be able to return to happier days and feelings; to find the inner child and let her play.

School counsellors may not be the same as professional counsellors; after all, who are they going to tell? I would try it again if I were you; it may help. Failing that, find a way to be creative; I find painting very healing for me, so that is what I do. I don't paint for other people (although sometimes they like the pictures), I paint to find wholeness.

I would say, make a 5 year plan and start trying some doors. 23 is still very young and the whole world lies before you. You don't have to go back unless you decide that is the best thing to do, for you.

Hello Friend, I have good news for you.

The Lord himself will help you and give you stability and direction as he promises in His word. Seek the Lord with all your heart and soul and love him and love your neighbor as yourself. Seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all the other things will be added to you. Turn away from sin and search for Gods will and find out whats pleasing to Him. It's his good pleasure to help you and he will never leave you or forsake you.

Persue holiness because youre young just like me and be alert because our adversary will try to use our desire for relationships to lead us into sins. The Lord is able to help you though so you wont stumble, and if you do stumble, you have an Advocate with the Father.

God requires us to walk by faith which means we dont always understans how he will work something out, but our hope reassures our heart that He will work all things for our good. As you truely set apart time to seek the Lord in prayer and reading your bible, he will begin to instruct your heart and fill you with peace that passes understanding. This is the wonderful promise we have in Him! Praise His name because he loves us so much and has given us everyrhing we need for life and godliness. Never stop seeking him and asking him for help and always be watchful because the Lord is coming back soon for his people.

Bless you!

Leslie

I also feel like you are at a crossroads in your life and you don't know which direction you should take.

I think you should pray to God and ask Him to help you to go in the direction He has prepared for you. Just remember that the enemy will launch his worst attack against you right before you get to the place the Lord wants you to be.

It sounds like you are going through changes and maybe facing some uncertainty about the future. These feelings can be hard, but i reccommend that you make time for regularly reading your bible and prayer. I feel like prayer and worship is something that helps to nurture our relationship with God. I think we have to learn to trust in God, and believe in Christ and the grace we have received through Him.

I don't really have any advice, but I can tell you your not alone. I'm 22, I have a lot of health problems so I'm not able to get out of my house much. I'm still in college and have no idea how long its going to take me to finish then I have to somehow get through seminary after that. My life is in a complete standstill. I'm not making any real meaningful progress. Not health wise, not job wise, not school wise. Ive done what I can but its just like my life is in stasis, unmoving.

I would just say seek god more, its the only thing thats helped me at all, but it doesn't really remove the the sting.

Oh my goodness, I posted this two years ago and trust me I have been reading the bible and looking for God. Things are actually not better. I have been quite suicidal earlier this year. The family drama has been most dramatic involving drugs, a stabbing and prison. I have been out of work for 9 months now despite having a qualification and skills. reading this thread is not encouraging at all. Where is God? But I have nothing else to fall back on so I have no other choice but to trust him.

I always wonder why we need to be in a 'crisis', and even if the word has 'CHRIST IS' is definitely a coincidence since Jesus is the main focus of attention when it comes to placing our faith in him, constantly - even if the flesh, my earth-born mind and body for example, seeks pleasure in sexual fantasy or home theater television entertainment as an escape or relaxation from time-consuming labour from 2 part-time jobs that barely meets the minimum wage:.
Focusing on Jesus is definitely spiritual abundance on a supernatural scale, if you take his basket of a few fish and loaves that magically transforms into basketfuls of fishes and loaves to feed the hungry crowd:.
Christ's spiritual abundance is in every positive fruit, such as fearlessness and joy, that enriches our attitude and proper communication with individuals who are either Christian or non-Christian, as in the verse: 'Love your neighbor', even if it means those are atheists or those who are religious such as Muslim, that's because our Christian attitude and proper communication are under subjection or control by our Lord Jesus Christ who lives spiritually in our hearts:.
Faith in Jesus is definitely very future-focused on a perfect Christian global society on a new paradise Earth, where Jesus will rule all nations which I believe that all continents of Africa, Europe, Asia, the Pacific will unite as one huge continent, leaving no room for oceans - literally, one vast landscape for our business (work/employment) and recreation (sports and hobbies):.
If Adam and Eve hadn't sinned, all of mankind's problems would not have existed, and it appears that Christ's Second Coming future victory return will give us that history as it should be: trouble-free and tragedy-free .;'*';.
