Which is more scriptural?

I believe balance produces the best outcome. Meat, vegetables and carbs in a balanced diet and approach nourishes your body and is lined with scripture the best.

The rule in our house is eat what you want, just not a lot of it. So you want steak - have some, just make it 6oz instead of 12. Want Carrots - have some, just not a lot. Want cake, have a slice, just not a big one.

hi simply put ...

eating meat is quite scriptural

"Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant.4"Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.…Gen: ch-9

though , as with everything else .. excess will do us no good
im a fan of Joes reboot juicing these days :)

Romans 14
13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. 14 I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. 15 If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died. 16 Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil. 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.

and also

1 Timothy 4
1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

So i'd imagine it's a balance thing, or just eat somewhere else if it offends somebody, too many attitudes to accommodate everyone who is offended.

I feel better when I eat mostly fruit, veggies, nuts, and grains. I do eat chicken and turkey and sometimes hamburger and fish, just not as much as I use to.
:) skip the hamburger(unless you made the paddy yourself of course) .. go for a clean beef steak //nill additives !!

but surely you enjoy roast lamb at least once a year ..no?

oh and yes .. i also (as an avid LOVER of red meat) do feel healthier having it in moderation and much better when consuming mostly fruit, veggies, nuts, and grains.

when consumed in balance with those ..they aid digestion and processing of red meat greatly .

Yes, I try to not go through the drive through, but sometimes I'm just short on time and I need to eat something. When I buy the hamburger meat I usually get lean and I'm not really a steak eater..sometimes on occasion. Lamb, not really. I can remember only 1 Passover Seder where they served lamb. Another Seder that I attended with the large Messianic congregation I attended in Orlando they might have served lamb, but I don't remember. Another time, when I got to Whole Foods (at least a 2 hr drive) I did buy a small bit of lamb and made stew out of it. It was very tender and quite tasty. :)

There's nothing in the Bible that prohibits eating clean meat and it can be argued that the most ethical diet includes some meat based on the number of animal deaths, but factory farming is abhorrent.

I know, I was too.

Judaism 101 says:

Shulchan Orekh: Dinner
A festive meal is eaten. There is no particular requirement regarding what to eat at this meal (except, of course, that chametz cannot be eaten). Among Ashkenazic Jews, gefilte fish and matzah ball soup are traditionally eaten at the beginning of the meal. Roast chicken or turkey are common as a main course, as is beef brisket.

now im even more confuzzled lol ..the passover meal is lamb .. there is just no biblical way around that .
mind you thats what the lord Jesus spoke of when he spoke about their rules regarding swearing by the temple etc .. they make rules to over ride and circumnavigate.
-of course we are not under that covenant, but if we sho wish to observe it i think id prefer to do so in the manner stated in the bible .

The sacrificed lamb was to be in the temple...There is no temple right now. They can't sacrifice a lamb. God forbid it. Therefore, lamb is not a requirement.

Deuteronomy 12:13-14New King James Version (NKJV)
13 Take heed to yourself that you do not offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see; 14 but in the place which the Lord chooses, in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.

Deuteronomy 16:5-6New King James Version (NKJV)
5 “You may not sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates which the Lord your God gives you; 6 but at the place where the Lord your God chooses to make His name abide, there you shall sacrifice the Passover at twilight, at the going down of the sun, at the time you came out of Egypt.

I got the impression from the Psalms, especially 119 that it was a delight to obey God's law.
haha it is . the law of the spirit of life in Christ JEsus :) .

we died in Christ .. so we are released from the law of moses which is a law unto death .

now we are ,by faith, risen again with him .:)

Spirulina is really good to take. Carrots are the most nutritious of foods, loaded with trace elements, vitamins, amino acids, enzymes etc.

I love lobster dunked in butter, but king crab legs are maybe even better when they are sweet.

Pork ribs done in my special sauce can make the most subdued person go wild!
