An Impossible Thing

"It is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted (clearly heard) of the heavenly gift; and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit (being awakened by God --"quickened" and learning of the truth of Him); and have tasted the good Word of God and the powers of the world to come (eternal issues); if they shall fall away (discredit & reject it) to renew them again unto repentance, seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh (rebellion), and put Him to an open shame." - Hebrews 6:4-6.

It is surely the desire of God that souls would hear the full gospel message (see John 1; John 3; John 14) and be humbled before God and receive His "...so great salvation" in His beloved Son (the Lord Jesus, the Christ of God). This is contrary to the innate sinful soul of man which desires to indulge and please self, and many souls continue to ignore or oppose the gospel call; though some acknowledge a deity of their own ideas and hope for blessings, though without repentance, but most of mankind will not surrender to God and read His immutable Word. Christians need to urge reading of the Gospel message in the Word of God.

There is no salvation in the ways of man (2 Corinthians 4:3-4), and such a one is left to his/her own ways (note Rom. 3:10-23 & Rom. 1:28-32). There is surely an urgency for souls to come to Christ before their end time in this world, and an urgency for saints to preach Christ for salvation.

-The Desire Of God-

"O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear Me, and keep all My commandments always, that it might be well with them, and their children forever!" - Deut. 5:29.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting " - John 3: 16.

"And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath (possesses) the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life"
-1 Jn. 5:11-12.
