Heavenly Father,

I don’t have much time to start praying today as the duties of the flesh are already pressurising me, but I want to give honour to your name. My lord, you are great. I apologise for my distraction as I hear the voices of confusion that can be so distracting, if there ever is a thing that proves I need your Spirit and wisdom.

But it is not a bad thing Father if you will just grant me your wisdom that confounds the wise and mighty, such as you gave to Solomon and as you gave to David Morgan in their day. If I am speaking then bring your wisdom in. I don’t care if it seems nonsensical in the immediate context, as long as it convinces people to believe and brings fruit to your beloved son Jesus Christ; and I do not seek 30 fold or 60 fold but 100 fold fruit.

Father, there may have been revivals in the past that saw a thirtyfold harvest, and even those that saw sixtyfold; and truthfully I am grateful for the salvation of one individual, but would I seek to give the Lord the talent he gave me? No, but I will invest my time in seeking the lost, even though they think not that they are lost, so that I might more than double what he has given me. What, for my reward? No, but for his that your wedding feast may be full. You said, compel them, and I will do my best, but it is by your Spirit they are born again.

Father, cause us to seek you daily, may our hearts long for you like an oasis in the desert. The heat of the sun – the persecution of this world makes us thirsty for you. Father, we see our brothers and sisters in Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Nigeria, Pakistan, and many other places suffering in the terrible heat of persecution and our hearts cry. I weep with their burden, and cry out to you. There is so little I can do, a donation here, a word of prayer there, so insignificant in the terrible pain they bear for the name of your son Jesus, and so I will pause on my knees in your presence and in my silence entreat you on their behalf. Give them kindness, Lord, and comfort through you Holy Spirit. To them, I say, if you can reveal my tear stained face, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry for your hurt may our Father comfort you with a very special hope of his glory. In a little while it will all be done and you and I will rejoice in the Lord’s presence together. If I have a privileged seat at the table I offer it to you, come up here and I will be the tail. You are worthy to have all the honour God may grant me. Take my place, have my seat and I will stand over there in the corner. You are blessed of the Lord.

Father, potter of the clay mould me, shape me, make me according to your will and send me into the harvest so that none is lost. Be glorified in me Lord and through the fruit of my lips and the words from my fingers.

Father, consider that I am in the flesh though not of it for I am born of your Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ your son and his sacrifice for my sin. The flesh is weak and sickly but in your Spirit I am strong and whole. Quicken my mortal body by your Spirit who dwells in me and with whom you have clothed me to witness with power in the world. Confirm that witness with signs and wonders by your Spirit and in the name of Jesus Christ your son.

Father, you know that I seek you daily for the salvation and sanctification of Forbes with a mighty outpouring of your Holy Spirit across the community. Each day I listen for the heralding of your Spirit to confirm that you have answered my prayer [I know it will happen very soon]. Father, if they will not come to fellowship where they might hear your gospel then send your Spirit out to convince in their homes; in the fields; in the streets; in the pubs and other places of recreation; in places of business. Allow nothing to stand between them and their salvation but forgive their sin for they know not what they do.

For those who murder your people; some even thinking that they are doing the will of god, I pray, lay not this sin to their charge. For those who suffer at their hand I ask that you give them a special revelation of Jesus to strengthen their hearts in the ordeal as they journey this rough road of suffering on the way home.

Remember Jesus said, “I will not leave you comfortless.”

Holy Spirit, be their close companion at all times.

Heavenly Father, for the world I pray. For the world blanket the skies with your Spirit and pour out such times of refreshing and repentance through faith that many are saved and cleansed by the blood of the new covenant. Grant labourers in every part of your harvest, and if none be found save them by the Holy Ghost. If one falls by the sword of persecution raise up three; and if three, raise up tens and twenties. Do not allow your word of salvation to return void but accomplish the very thing you sent Jesus for. May we never be ashamed. Holy Spirit, teach us to comfort one another.

I ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ as he commanded that our joy may be full. Amen.

Please continue. Pray for whatever you want or agree with me in prayer. Its all over to you.

My prayer today...

Heavenly Father,

I have awoken to the sound of a wind this morning and it is June 1 2015. The first thought that crossed my mind is, is this the Holy Spirit of God? Has he come as first revealed? You know that I have asked almost daily for the sound of a mighty wind – the noise that can perhaps be likened to a trumpet heralding, this is the day! This is the day of the Lord! Oh my Father, delight me and anoint me afresh and grant me the first fruits I have requested of you.

It is unusual to have such a wind at this time of the year in Forbes, Father, and it intrigues me that my request is in line with my waking meditations that you will delight people with your salvation and bring them comfort and joy that they will be witnesses to you. Oh can you see how it all fits in with that first outpouring?! My heart sings.

Forbes, receive ye the Holy Ghost.

Father I see this anointing as an outpouring of new wine. Not a new method of doing things, as this is often touted, but a freshness in people who have not known you. Do you remember the word that was declared how Samuel had not known you in the tenderness of conversation and communion, so that is says that the voice of God was not heard in that day? But you called him out of darkness, and revealed to him judgment for gross sin [Father, cleanse me of all unrighteousness and do not judge], but to the people deliverance. I’m so excited. This is what my heart has longed for [oh, excuse me while I make my cup of tea while I rejoice in you, don’t go away].

Father, I beg you, do not lay the charge of sin against any but forgive all. Let it be known that Jesus, by his sacrifice prayed that you would lay the charge of their sins upon him so that your promise through Isaiah might be fulfilled, himself bore our sins. Father, I see from the picture delivered concerning Samuel that some might erroneously think that you are laying charge of sin against the old and raising up the new; do not let it be this way but as the prophet Jeremiah said, both the young and old rejoicing together, and as that other prophet who said, sower and reaper will be working side by side in continuous harvest. Hallelujah!

Knit the hearts of those of us who believe in a Johnathan-David style of covenant and remove the jealousies that have crept in over the years. As you increase the one, let the other rejoice in decrease for both the sower and reaper receive eternal reward. Cleanse us of all envy oh my God.

Oh, I’m probably not making all that much sense but you know the meditations of my heart because you put them there. Rebuke the devourer, Father.

Satan, I say to you, the Lord, the Lord rebuke you, and Jesus is his name. [What an interesting revelation, I don’t know how well it will be received, but it is delightful liberty.]

I wonder if you will excuse me while I deliberate on that revelation? As I go to contemplation I ask you to do all these things we have discussed in the name of your only begotten son: Jesus Christ. Amen.
