Joe, I'm not attacking you. I apologize if you do feel I am. I am asking you a very simple question. What makes a man holy, what makes you and I holy? We are both admitted sinners, we have both transgressed the Law of God. The Bible says, if we do not keep the Law, we are under the curse of the Law. You keep talking about obedience, we are both disobedient children. How can we be Holy Like He is Holy?

If God has given us the Grace to be obedient, why are we disobedient. As you said, you are a sinner, I am with you...I am a sinner. As transgressors, what makes us Holy, Joe?

Daniel
You are not listening. Read 1 Peter 1:13-17 and then you tell me what God is telling you to do to be holy. You keep asking me and then you act like I am not answering because I guess I am not giving you the answer you want. Apparently you want me to say we cannot possibly be holy so we can enjoy ourselves under God's grace because our sins are forgiven and God understands if we are not holy. That kind of stuff is the Grace Heresy and I cannot pretend that it is from God or endorsed by God when His word clearly teaches that His grace is for obedience to Him to be holy for Him

Joe, can you quote were I said it's okay to be disobedient to God. I'm not trying to prove you are a sinner, you have admitted that yourself. I am as well. You are right, the Bible does say blessed is the man that keeps the whole Law. It also says, if you break His Law, you are under the curse of the Law.

Both, you and I have admitted that we have broken God's Law, Joe. We are under the curse of the Law. For it says cursed is the man that doesn't keep the Law.

Joe, how can we be holy like he is holy?
Joe, what does it mean when the Bible says, our righteousness is as filthy rags to God?

We have already shown, neither one of us are holy. We are Law breakers. What makes us holy Joe?

I don't know why you are disobedient to God. I suggest you get with Him in prayer in the matter and ask Him to give you the grace to stop being disobedient to Him so you can deny yourself and be holy in all manner of conversation as God commands in 1 Peter 1:13-17

Joe, my friend, we have both admitted we are disobedient to God. I try my best, my best isn't good enough. God is holy, God is perfect, I fall short.

Again Joe, what makes us holy? The Law doesn't, both of us have failed in that respect.

Joe, I do think you and I have been respectful. I pray this continues in Christ our Lord.

I'm really asking you a simple question, it has everything to do with the op.

I thought I told you to read 1 Peter 1:13-17 and see how God tells you to be holy there, and then explain to me how to be holy and answer your own question since you seem to be ignoring my answers. God gives you your answer in 1 Peter 1:13-17. He tells me to be holy, and he tells me how to be holy in that passage. If you don't see God telling you the same things there as He is telling me, I'm sorry but I cannot help you. The Grace Heresy causes blinders so that a person is unable so see God's command to be holy and how to be holy in 1 Peter 1:13-17 as well as in dozens or hundreds of other passages in the Old and New Testaments. If you are unable to look at and discuss 1 Peter 1:13-17 and how God there tells you to be holy and how to be holy, the same as He tells me (it's very plain and simply worded there, I don't know why you seem to be having trouble with it), you will have the same difficulty with the hundreds of other passages where God gives you instructions on how to obey Him and the grace He gives to enable and empower us to obey Him.

You seem to be ignoring everything I say and then you seem to be acting like you are making a point by ignoring me. I'm sorry I can't help you. I suggest more Bible study I'm really sorry I'm unable to get through to you. Whatever you are trying to get at, this thread is for exposing the Grace heresy which teaches that holiness is legalism, VS the biblical teaching of God's grace which gives us the ability to obey God to be holy.

What a shame that the whole world understands what being holy means when they call the Dolly Llama a holy man, but Christians don't know what God means when He commands them to be holy, and so many Christians embrace the Grace heresy which excuses them from being holy in preference of self-indulgences.

does it matter if i sin? no. I have forgiveness that is for all my sins not some of them. I know I will not pay a debt, but No child of God wants to sin even if they thing they do those born of spirit are of God and hate sin, even Paul spoke of doing what he hated, that is sin. He wrote 13 books of the Bible he still sinned, this unforgiving preaching is bull. Like a preacher can't preach if he sins, Paul sinned is any one today greater than Paul? I long to be free from sin, but you can not meet the mark because as Paul said your body has sin living inside it from past sins. We will be free from sin in our new bodies. That is what sin means BTW "To miss the mark,

If Joe has the power to never sin again..then he has no need for forgiveness. But if you sin @ joe..then you become a hypocrit. BECAUSE the very thing you teach you dont do.....I can't believe any True Christian sets their mind to sin...but if they sin..and because they know forgiveness is there they are covered you then calling everyone a heretic.......if you joe have a secret understanding of what Paul says in Romans...let me know. BECAUSE HE WROTE WHO WILL SAVE ME FROM THIS BODY OF DEATH. so shall people not preach the gospel and forgiveness because if they do someone may slip and count on God's grace. I don't know where everyone is in their walk..but it is God who judges the heart. Is not sanctification a process..If you
Impose your level of faith on someone else do you not cause them to stumble? I USED YOUhypothetically to make a point.....it sounds like a holy person doesnt sin......so the concluding statement is a person who misses the mark is unholy...can we then also conclude that a saved person doesn't sin..but if he sins he is unsaved?...and continue with a Cashier gives back change...but the day she doent work she is not a Cashier? If you come in a forum where there are no Christians that believe they should practice sin... then of course your motive is questionable.

This is a baseless personal attack against me, ignorant of the topic and discussion of the OP, and worthy of no reply.
