ISIS isn't our problem, but an Arab problem.

And Mossad is supporting ISIS, while we support Shiite troops in Iraq, which are backed by Iran.

There is a conflict of interest for the US here, which is driven by Nethanyahu and the GOP members of congress.

When a Republican not named Rand Paul is elected POTUS we will go to war with ISIS for real. Obama may have made it clear that we won't send ground troops, but "America" hasn't.

The Democratic nominee should figure out a way to fit that on a bumper sticker, he or she would beat the Republican nominee by 20%. The American people have made it very clear that the 10 year Iraq War we just got out of us was a horrific mistake, and they do not want us to put any ground troops back in that country.

As St Bernard told the Crusaders heading to the Holy Land to fight, "peace will never be brought by the sword, but only through prayer. "

So it was when those crusaders saw the evils of war, they put down their swords and went to Mt Carmel to live a life of prayer and sacrifice. Peace eventually came to the Holy Land.

The Crusades never brought peace to the Holy Land, and neither will the American Military do it today.

Only through prayer will peace be brought into the Middle East.

UN Report Reveals How Israel is Coordinating with ISIS Militants Inside Syria

The Syrian conflict continues to develop into a proxy war, pitting various foreign ‘national interests’ against one another, including US vs. Syria, US vs Iran, Saudi Arabia vs Syria, Qatar vs. Syria, Turkey vs. Kurdistan and Iran vs. Israel – to name only a few. So the support network behind Washington’s ‘Moderate Rebels’ and terrorist groups fighting in Syria is comprised of many contributing covert intelligence agencies, including the CIA, MI5/6, Mossad, France, NATO, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

Not all Syrian rebels are part of ISIS, and vice versa, although many are happily conflating them

This is a very well written analysis. The primary support of Israel is for the less radical of the terrorists. This has been the US policy also. What we all seem to know is that the US isn't doing much in Syria other than supporting the Kurds. If the US were to thoroughly defeat the Sunni terrorists, the result would be strong Iranian allies in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.

WHAT SHOULD ISRAEL WANT IN SYRIA
Apparently, Israel wants to defeat Assad. Israel would also likely to diminish Hezbollah while they're at it. Israel does NOT want to strengthen Iran or its proxies. As the articles indicates, Israel would be fine with Assad falling to the Sunni terrorists. Israel could then support those who want to defeat terrorism after Assad and his shia dominance is gone.

The bottom line for Israel is that she don't think that she can be defeated by a bunch of thugs. Hezbollah is a much more formidable force than ISIS ever will be.

Israeli armies will not be defeated when they have superior personnel and equipment. If the Israelis fear anything, it is an Iran much stronger than it is now, with control of much more of the region, and STILL with the threat of securing nuclear weapons.

Compared to an Iran on the verge of going nuclear, ISIS is not much of a concern for the countries of the ME.
Moreover, outside of the humanitarian concerns that motivates Western sentiment to act, ISIS does not really pose much of a strategic threat to any of these countries. Psychopaths and religiously insane zealots may well be able to use brutality effectively to take over territory, but when it comes to governing those territories, ISIS is pretty pathetic.

Christians in the West may pay lip service to the Christian genocides carried out by ISIS, but Obama's pinprick strikes gives the appearance of doing something, without really actually doing anything, and people have signed on to that.
Neo-liberal/neo-con policies no longer carry any real weight in Republican circles either, so a change in administration will not lead to any more of the humanitarian concerns of building civil societies in the region, where Christians will actually live in peace and harmony.

Western Christians simply do not want to die for the Christians under ISIS control, and if that is the case for Christians, rest assured that the regions Muslims are even less motivated to die for the Christians being slaughtered by ISIS.
Pluralism is a Western liberal value, and not a Muslim value. Ethnic cleansing of the minorities of the region is not something that is considered evil by the Gulf states, or anyone else in the region.

I am interested in hearing what the Republicans saying their debates. Obama has done very, very little meaningful in Syria, other than occasionally helping the Kurds. Hillary will agree with the Republicans that more weapons should have been sent earlier to the least-bad of the rebels. That is long in the past. What should the US do in Syria? For the Democrats, the answer is "nothing". For Rand Paul, and Pat Buchanan (not running), the answer is "nothing".
