Survived this last visit. The procedure was way worse but instead of being anxious during the procedure, I was more upset with how much pressure the dentist was putting on my teeth and lips. I ended up with 3 sores/cuts on my lips. Now Im onto the healing. Advil around the clock, soft foods only, and ice packs for my cheek. Please pray that infection stays away- Im worried about one spot but it is too early to really tell since it has been less than 48 hours.

I pray you will be led to know why you are having dental weakness and what to do about it and that all goes well and affordably with the dentist.

Oh I know why I have dental probkems and a phobia. That is not the issue- mine is more of a phobia and dealing with that phobia/working through what I need to get done for my own health.

Thank you!

Prayers for patience would be appreciated too - I've been hypersensitive about mouth stuff since I started all of these treatments by in March. Brushing, flossing, mouth washes, best techniques... I can go a bit overboard :) It's been less than 48 hours and I'm already worried I'm not healing fast enough.

Swelling is down, although one spot is giving me trouble with pain and swelling. Thankfully I know that my dentist is closed over the weekend, but if I have any issues I can email them and then can help me out (they do offer 24 hour emergency care - so if I need a prescription for antibiotics I can get in touch with them).

Just need to have patience and to rest....

Your survived  Praise God
Dental stuff always has some degree of discomfort (during/after).
I find that mentally you really need to disconnect and take deep breaths.
To focus ion it just makes me more anxious if I am feeling anything unpleasant (never pain...just UNPLEASANT).
I am scheduled for 3 weekly visits in June for Crown/filling repairs....so I feel for you (and me lol) :p

Thank you!

Take it slow, I am sure you are healing fine
With any major work there is always a spot here and there that can be sensitive for a bit longer than we'd like ;)

Enjoy your new teeth (after you heal) ~ continued prayers for you going forward :crossrc:
