I can't stand shopping.
I go somewhere with other people, and exchange something of 'value' (money) for a material object. I don't care about money. I don't have much of it, sure, and what little bit I do have I use to meet with modern society's expectations and provide for my family, but I don't think it's got any true 'value'. Unless you burn it to help start a fire.
But I digress...
Not only do I have to perform this silly exchange, but I have to do it while surrounded by other people who violate my personal space, are rude, arrogant, confrontational even.
Fortunately in my area I can get groceries ordered on the Internet and delivered, so I don't have to do much of that any more- unless the wife wants something of course. Even then, what do I buy from the grocer? Very little, usually only 'mass produced' products that are hard to get elsewhere such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. (Though many other items like this, soap for example, I can source elsewhere.)
Farmers' markets are far more enjoyable. Usually far fewer people, less noise, it's outside (open spaces, fresh air, yippee!) and most merchants are even open to barter! Those that aren't, well, the inconvenience of having to use that silly paper stuff in exchange is offset by their knowledge and willingness to please, not to mention the (far superior) quality of the produce!
(Geez, I'm grumpy... Maybe I was born a few years too late. Should go back to working the land and trading marbles!)
