Here's Jeb on that:

"I don't think the science is clear of what percentage is man-made and what percentage is natural. It's convoluted....The climate is changing. We need to adapt to that reality."

Anyone with an open mind and an interest in using the language correctly should be able to see that this does not amount to "global warming denier."

.

Any candidate that has a brain in their head and handlers that know what they are doing, are going to be in close contact with the majority of Americans opinions on certain key subjects, that tend to be volatile.

Most American's agree that global warming is a problem, most American's agree that SSM should be legal and most American's aren't all that crazy about another ground war.

Now, during the republican primaries, you may hear candidates trying to appeal to the base and saying things that may lead one to believe they don't buy global warming, aren't crazy about SSM and they would be open to another ground war. But, when the republican candidate is determined, you will see a change in tune on these same subjects, when they go up against the democrat.

Perhaps it was true at the time he said that; things change.

Could be, but if you recall, at the time he made this statement, his own secretary of defense and head of the joint chiefs, said that ISIS was a significant threat.

You're not telling us anything special with that.

I could never vote for Jeb Bush. He is a global warming denier.

And we could add that the sky is blue and ice is cold while we're making observations that, while true, don't add anything to this thread's discussion.
You're not telling us anything special with that.

Now I too, like you have not added anything to this thread's discussion.

I kinda think this is not going to happen. It seems logical enough, but there are some things that are not the usual. For one, it's not one liberal against a variety of conservatives contending for the nomination. It looks that way at first, but the field is made up of a lot of people who have some conservative credentials but also some black marks offsetting that reputation. Also, Jeb is not in office at present, was a governor too long ago for most people to remember with any specifics, isn't a good speaker or campaigner, and will depend mainly upon his money and family name--the latter of which doesn't get you much anymore. I just seriously doubt that it'll pull him through.

It was accomplished--the Iraqi army had been defeated, the government disbanded, and Baghdad occupied. THAT was the mission.

But of course the enemies of Bush and their media allies misrepresented the meaning of that slogan and made it seem as though making right all the wrongs existing anywhere in the world would be needed before anyone could say "nice work" to our servicemen and women for a victory so sweeping and swift that everyone was impressed at it.

With the result that ISIS emerged during Bush's regime and which caused the present problems. Thank you for admitting Bush is the cause of all this mess.

''zombie thread''

Laughable comment in view of the fact that Jeb is a candidate for the White House.
Jeb's poll numbers are laughable ... Jeb Bush | Public Policy Polling

One has to go back a couple of months to find decent poll numbers for Jeb Bush. In bellwether states Jeb's poll numbers have tanked ... and he has withdrawn from straw polls in order to avoid embarrassment.

Did you say that when Nighthawk said,

''Well ... if you guys insist on reviving this zombie thread ...

Didn't Obama say that ISIS was the JV?
Why, yes, yes he did. He and his liberal minions also claimed that Al Qaeda had been defeated.''

--------------

If the thread is strictly about Jeb, why did you mention the Clintons as having a huge war chest of resources to finance their campaign?

Please learn to apply your own standards to yourself before pointing the finger at others.

And remember, this is not a zombie thread as Jeb is candidate and all issues related to him are relevant.

That's very true and marks a clear departure from the experience of the establishment candidates of the past who won the Republican nomination.

Scott Walker may still be in the lead though Rand Paul has been getting most of the recent attention.

Curiously, Real Clear Politics indicates that the only recent nationwide poll, Quinnipiac, shows that there is no leader. Everyone's at 10%.

Iowa, however, is not tied. Neither is New Hampshire.
