I could swear I saw something on youtube with a Coptic priest, maybe a bishop, talking about some sort of joint declaration they had signed.

I am a Church of the East convert (edit: formerly Protestant), but I find it inconvenient because the nearest church is in Chicago I think. Whereas there are multiple High Protestant, Low Protestant, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Quaker and Anabaptist assemblies nearby. lol

Yeah. Actually I remembered that it was filmed in Madison, WI and I was able to find it on youtube.

Here is the link: youtube.com - watch?v=z1q-G9McsSI (sorry I can't post a direct link.)

His Grace mentions it around the 43 minute mark. My question is probably answered in the video, it's just I didn't have the URL. I'll take another look at it tomorrow.

I see. Thank you. HG is referring there to the agreements drafted by the joint commission on EO/OO unity in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The OO accepted what the representatives had written up together at those meetings, but some among the EO did not, so union did not happen and the talks continue today.

Here is an amateur website about the state of EO/OO unification talks: https://orthodoxjointcommission.wordpress.com/ (There used to be another, more official website, but I can't seem to find it right now. Perhaps it is offline.)
