I just cast on for some socks last night. I'm just doing some plain socks trying to get my knitting groove back. I am using some self-striping yarn I picked up at Hobby Lobby ages ago on clearance. :)
Dawn

That self-striping yarn can make a pair of socks look really good. How are you getting on with them?

I started and I'm hooked, can't stop. I made a rainbow infinity scarf and right now I'm working on a blanket! I find it very relaxing, actually once a month I get together with some girls from my youth group and knit, talk and eat

Your infinity scarf sounds pretty. How are you getting on with your blanket?

I'm just getting started with knitting. I got the first row of stitches down, but I keep messing up on the second one. I hope I get the hang of it soon because I really want to make something with the pretty green yarn I bought. :bigeye:

I hope you've got the hang of it by now. If not, I would recommend knittinghelp.com. You'll find some good teaching videos there.

I knitted some fingerless gloves for my mom for Christmas. Not sure I'll have time to make the beardo hat for my nephew that I'm interested in doing. It's a hat with a knitted portion that looks like a beard :D

I hope your mother enjoyed her gloves. Did you manage to make the hat for your nephew? I didn't knit anything for family for Christmas, but knitted dolls jumpers for dolls which were being sent in Christmas Shoeboxes. I based the pattern on the Fish and Chip Baby jumpers.

Those fingerless Gloves are awesome,I use mine all the time when its cold
in the house, sometimes at the farm where I help out.Mine are hot pink.

They'll not be easily lost if they're pink.

I'm not fussed on fingerless mitts myself, probably because my fingers are the coldest part of my hand

I knitted an Infinity scarf. I have knitted dish clothes sweaters for me
I prefer crocheting

Well done on the infinity scarf. I knit one of those a few years ago for my daughter but she has never worn it.

Again, well done on the dishcloth sweaters. I have never knit a dishcloth sweater. Does that consist of several dishcloths sewn together?

For someone who prefers you seem to have done a lot of knitting lol.

I have just one row left of the slipper I have been working on. I'm not sure I'll use fuzzy yarn again. If I do, I'll probably use a life line and it probably won't be for quite a while. I have quite a few balls left. They're not the same colour as the one I've been using, but equally pretty. I'm thinking of donating it to the charity shop where I volunteer.
