i don't know if someone mentioned this already

but one thing you might want to take into consideration is how good the sound insulation is between the floors, and possibly between you and the unit next door.

I used to live in a house, where down stairs lives another family. there were separate entrances.

The sound insulation between the floors were poor, so sometimes I get complains from down stairs for noises like walking etc, even though I wasn't doing anything unusual.

and I suppose the reverse is also true for those who lives downstairs, they probably have to put up with noises from normal everyday activities they should not have to put up with because of the poor sound insulation.

The sound transferring is also an issue, so many apartments
we've been in don't seem to have much of a sound barrier.

We are still in the market, we had many viewings but still
no offers...had a serious contender today, he was here for
over an hour... there's also another unit up for sale also.
We will see if the guy is going to pick one of our units or
go for something else.

The serious contender picked the other unit...
it's an end unit (more yard space.)

Our Open House was on Saturday, we had
many people to come look, no offers yet.

No luck in us finding a suitable apartment
either, we came SO close but the apartment that
ticked all our boxes had just sold that morning...
boo! LOL!

We keep looking!
