Changes Appreciated!

Hi all,

I'm a long time member (9 years this year), and I just wanted to say that I really enjoy and appreciate the software update, and I'm glad we finally got a tech skilled enough to take on this project. I know how out of date the old software was, and I can't imagine how much work it took to actually move everything over.

I've seen a lot of complaints about it, which is understandable. I just want to ask to please not make this look/function like the "old CF". I feel like this should be a new chapter, and that we should move forward with the upgrade, not try to stay stuck in the past just because it's what's familiar and comfortable. I'm sure this software has lots of options and possibilities. I hope those are explored to really improve the forum.

I'm enjoying watching it all come together. Also glad that you were able to find a way to give people who preferred the old view a way to keep it while still letting others have the new bells and whistles!

I was wondering where I might make a suggestion about the forum? Is here ok? I've been posting in singles off and on and was wondering if we could perhaps do something about the number of sticky threads....It's sort of a long list and with the new format, you have to keep scrolling a while to get to the active discussions. Could you guys maybe think about getting rid of some of the ones that aren't imperative? Or condensing some of the announcements and rules into one sticky?
