• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. getting bad thoughts telling me to not follow Jesus
There tell me that am following the wrong faith and that i should follow another faith
Am listening to Christian music ...its helping
i got to keep myself busy and keep my mind clean of these thoughts
unsure what i can do
am thinking of doing something that's positive :angel:

I am sorry you have these thoughts. They can be very troubling. It is just the devil trying to discourage you. Jesus loves you more than you will ever know. You are following the one and only true way to God. Through His Son Jesus. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the father excepr through me". Jesus cannot lie, he is only truth. Remember in the Bible where a large number of Jesus's followers left him? Jesus turned and asked the 12 if they would leave him also. What was Peters response..."Where would we go? You have the words of life." Focus on that. All other so called "faiths" are counterfeit. Paul talks about the "fiery darts of satan". You are finding out first hand what he was talking about. But remember if your a believer in Jesus, satan has already lost the battle. The deal is done!

Been there. I know what you're going through. Stay strong! You'll make it. I know it's easier said than done. But the fact is, Jesus Christ is the real deal! He is truly the Son of God, Our Lord and Savior. If you stay in the Word and prayer, you'll make it, because Jesus is the Truth :)

Thank you both
its 6.18 am and i just woke up
had a dream about a great battle between Christians and Muslims
Muslims beheading Christians many many Christians
This made me feel scared for myself, my family and other Christians
I also felt scared for the Muslims that they could take so many lifes that must really effect them
there something no right if you are killing your fellow man
Not all Muslims want to kill us many Muslims too scared to say anything as they would lose there lifes and that of there loved ones ...

Jesus was there i felt him there
i didn't feel scared anymore and the Muslims felt him there too and they stopped killing and the scared ones was no longer
scared there was no more fighting just peace with Jesus

i feel good this morning i feel Jesus here he is with me now
am going to pray now for peace and for thoese who are scared pray for the Muslims , pray for the martyrs , pray for those who are scarred
Jesus loves us all

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. Just know you are not alone. The enemy will do everything he can to get you off track and distracted. I think what you are already doing is very good. Listening to Christian music will definitely change the atmosphere and put you in a much better state of mind. I do that too and it definitely helps. :) Also read your Bible. Psalms is a good book to read. It's so good to know even a person like King David had his issues too :) Maybe even write things down. I do that a lot to keep my mind on what's important. I will pray for peace of mind and a calm spirit in you my friend. I pray that things will turn around for you. :angel:
