During his speech at the Coast Guard Academy Obama told the graduates about to deploy on station the greatest threat they would face was that posed by global warming.
Geez...
(edited to remove stupid cartoon)
The same author wrote an article titled"Updated data from NASA satellite instruments reveal the Earth’s polar ice caps have not receded at all since the satellite instruments began measuring the ice caps in 1979."

Where are the charts?
Where are the graphs?
Next.../ the chants that this thread doesn't belong in politics...
1) They are models. They are not guaranteed to be right. Then why have the models been so dismally wrong about it?
I'm not going to waste my time explaining it to you - you won't listen anyways.Evidence of this?
Evidence of this?
In reality, the greatest threat they face is from North Korea. Glorious leader is taking the Korean navy out to attack America.
Hey I'm curious how the COAST GUARD will be affected by ISIS.
Do ISIS have a Navy that has come near the US shores that I haven't heard of? OR IS IT THE USUAL ONE-ISSUE-AT-A-TIME mentality that brings about this silliness?
I'm curious. Because that cartoon looks really ignorant and uninformed. But I understand. When facts threaten....
Here's a hint for you: what does the US Coast Guard deal with? Islamic extremists in the Levant OR ISSUES RELATED TO, you know....the US COAST?
Then perhaps you should actually consider the subject. ..
This comment is truly one of a kind.
Of course there is one area of the global warming debate the Coast Guard could have some impact on, the defense against liberalism promoting an agenda such as the one espoused by these guys:

'The President's speech was so farcical in its claims that it hardly merits a response. Contrary to the President’s claims, it seems ISIS may in fact trump ICE as a bigger concern. Actually believing Obama’s climate claims, undermines our nation’s ability to distinguish real threats from politically contrived nonsense. UN climate treaties and EPA climate regulations will not prevent wars, conflicts or impact the creation of terrorist groups.http://dailycaller.com/2015/05/20/obama-readies-the-troops-for-the-war-on-global-warming/
Obama is the biggest threat to security this country faces.
Given that the Anasazi and Maya civilizations largely disintegrated about 800 years ago are you now arguing in favor of current weather being the product of natural variations rather than AGW?The funny thing is we know that climate change can destroy civilizations. WE HAVE HISTORICAL EVIDENCE OF IT. The Anasazi, the Maya, the list goes on!
Nope. Considering how well armed a majority of our country is. I would say it is safe to say.. nobody really poses a threat. Texas proved that.Obama is the biggest threat to security this country faces.

The difference in interpretation is unsurprising.
The author of the article, James Taylor, is a senior fellow at the ExxonMobil funded Heartland Institute.
Why is it that whenever there is a new article posted on this forum disputing the consensus on climate change, it is always so easy to link it to vested interests? (That's a rhetorical question).
It's amazing how you guys keep trying this lame ploy, when it's so obvious that your side makes WAY more money on the global warming scheme. Talk about vested interests!
