That is funny you should say that, I was just telling my husband yesterday that I didn't appreciate being young and having good health. Yet, I can't even complain now because for the most part I have been healthy most of my life. Now if the biopsy comes back with good news I can get on with it. :)
Young people suffer from the crazy idea that their life is endless, only time can confirm that it's not.

PS. Religions were thought up by older people, by people who could see the end approaching, young people have no need of an after life if they think the one they have now is endless.

Provide documentation that religions were thought up by older people.

I tend to agree that you can't blame a specific age group. Mythologising is a human habit and is just as prevalent among the young as the old. Looking at a specific case, Joseph Smith wrote the book of mormon when he was just 24 according to wikipedia. He thought angels were dictating to him, which always makes me smile.

Like I said, God put a place into all mankind for Him. I don't smile about Joseph Smith because it is just as I said, Satan tries to pull mankind from the Bible and God.

Mythologising is a human habit and is just as prevalent among the young as the old.
it's also common across cultures, i would go so far to say it's common to humanity itself.
it's commonly stated that most scientists don't believe in a god, but i would guess that the vast majority of them believe humanity is more than what can be explained by physical laws.
there has to be a reason for this kind of common belief, fads do not become global and persist for centuries.
it also can't be entirely imaginary either, because we have such things as the placebo effect.
don't get me wrong, i don't have a "side", i'm merely pointing out the facts here.

Why is Satan more powerful than your God? either that or your God does not care

Smith had been a con man for a long time before he had the idea to start a religion.
