I used to walk a lot but when it hit winter it got a bit too cold and lately it has been raining a lot more often than normal

one time I walked to a store about 4 miles away just to have a place to walk to

I have stores a few blocks away but the nearest walmart at that time was 4 miles away which they closed years ago

interesting morning.... spent time doing flood control and putting a tarp over a roof that leaked during the night for someone.

I saw some of the ceiling was falling down but it is repairable, just needs a whole new roof.

Oh my word! That doesn't sound good. Is the flooding bad?

not really..... my garage seems to flood when we get more than a half inch of rain quickly I've had to use my wet vac close to a dozen times this spring as it has been unusually rainy. We aren't getting the big soakers we used to but a lot of smaller rains seems we have two or so days it rains then a few days it clears up then back to rain again. It is like nature is trying to make up for the record breaking years in the past where we got almost no rain and it was 110 highs for days. I'm hoping this summer isn't a scorcher to make up for all the rain

Sounds like it gets hot where you live. Hope you get a break from the rain.

It can get hot in the summer for sure here, I think with the rain we have flooding in places but not a lot in the city we had a groundbreaking flood plan decades ago that stopped most of the flooding.

That is too bad some places here in BC can flood as well

we are used to seeing flood watches here some place in the area always getting too much rain in too short of time
