Like I said in a previous thread, I have not even been Christian for a week yet, so I am still learning, so please forgive what I am about to say as I am ashamed myself. So, um, yesterday I kind of forgot to pray and today I am feeling really bad about it. I'm not sure if it is a sin so I would like to ask the people here if it is :(

In answer to your question, absolutely not mate. Of course it is ideal that you DO pray every day, but God doesn't count exactly how often you pray, but whether your heart is right with him. Also, quality>quantity. Forcing yourself to pray everyday is simply being legalistic, and following a tired old religious regime rather than truly surrendering your heart to God. As Christians, the things we need to be most wary about is whether we are following God's commandments and whether we have faith in him.

It's no sin to forget to pray. I try to be conscious of him all the time - though it's kind of impossible - but I just chat to him with my thoughts whenever I have to make a decision or something. Prayer isn't a ritual, but it's just part of building your relationship with God. Talk to him about how you feel, he cares. Don't freak out if you do something wrong, just ask God for forgiveness and turn yourself around so you won't do it again. God bless you :)

A very important thing to consider right here. When praying you don't need a very technical/refined language to talk with him. Istead, you can simply use the very informal language that you have with your friends. As long as it was sincerely from your heart everything is alright and when you have nothing to say a simple thank you is very powerful and can help you say more things.
