I have arthritis all over but it's not incapacitating yet. Mostly my knees and my hips bother me. I take diclofenec. What do you do for yours?
The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Thanks for this information. It's good stuff to know!
Thank you for your thoughtful and thought provoking post. I don't believe that arthritis has any kind of a spiritual problem attached to it, sorry. On the spiritual side, arthritis is often associated with bitterness and unforgiveness. I would attempt to bring all matters to God and have him show you who you need to forgive and to help you do so. There may be individuals in your distant past that you have unforgiveness for that you've forgotten... Even yourself.
On the physical side, I would google Dr. Mark Sircus, and expert in magnesium. Severe magnesium deficiencies cause calcium to leach from bones and float around in blood, depositing calcium in the joints and organs of the body. Magnesium oil can be applied topically and ingested.
If your arthritis is caused by uric acid buildup, you could look into anti-inflammatory herbs, like ginger, turmeric, clove, etc. Baking soda with water may also help. There are other natural options, but this will suffice for this post.
Hope you find relief.
Build up of uric acid leads to gout. Gout occurs when your kidneys aren't functioning well. I don't think, RuthD, that you are suffering from gout. Unless you've got chronic kidney failure, or, some other kidney-related issues? If your arthritis is caused by uric acid buildup
God does heal, but, He gives us wisdom to take care of our health. We want a quick fix, but, if we don't know how or refuse (I'm not implying that RuthD falls into this category) to take care of ourselves, there's no point in asking for a miracle healing.
first thing to do is to find out what kind of arthritis you have--there are several different kinds.I have arthritis all over but it's not incapacitating yet. Mostly my knees and my hips bother me. I take diclofenec. What do you do for yours?
Ibuprofen, aspirin, etc. I just have it in my wrists and right now it is light. I also pour boiling water in a mug with a whole egg in it, wait for three minutes, and eat the whole thing. The boiling water sterilizes the outside and the inner membrane of the shell gives you a certain nourishing chemical that you can also buy in over-priced supplements. It's good for my type of arthritis.I have arthritis all over but it's not incapacitating yet. Mostly my knees and my hips bother me. I take diclofenec. What do you do for yours?
