We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Eph. 6:12 -- Forasmuch ... as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. Heb. 2:14 -- And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them. Col. 2:15 -- I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Rev. 12:10, 11

Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. I Cor. 15:57​

We spend our years as a tale that is told. The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Psa. 90:9, 10

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. I Cor. 15:19 -- Here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. Heb. 13:14 -- I am the LORD, I change not. Mal. 3:6 -- Our conversation (citizenship) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ; who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Phil. 3:20, 21 -- The creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope. Rom. 8:20

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Heb. 13:8 -- Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. Rev. 4:8​

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. I Thess. 5:5, 6

It is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Rom. 13:11, 12 -- Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph. 6:13 -- Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed: and make you a new heart and a new spirit. Ezek. 18:31 -- Lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:21 -- Little children, abide in him; that, when be shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. I John 2:28, 29​

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Rev. 3:20

I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled. I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer. Song 5:2, 6

Speak; for thy servant heareth. I Sam. 3:10 -- When Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zaccheus, make haste and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. Luke 19:5, 6 -- I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. Psa. 85:8​

The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us. Rom. 5:5 -- Ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but ye have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba Father. The spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. Rom. 8:15, 16 -- He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself. I John 5:10

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. I John 4:9 -- In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. Eph. 1:7 -- That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Eph. 2:7

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. I John 4:11​

Is not this the carpenter's son? Matt. 13:55 -- Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? John 1:46 -- Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? John 8:48 -- He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils. Matt. 9:34 -- We know that this man is a sinner. John 9:24 -- He deceiveth the people. John 7:12 -- This man blasphemeth. Matt. 9:3 -- Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. Matt. 11:19

It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. Matt. 10:25 -- This is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously. I Pet. 2:19-23 -- If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye. I Pet. 4:14​

The true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 2:23, 24 -- Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. Isa. 58:9 -- When ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any. Mark 11:25

Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Heb. 11:6 -- Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the LORD. James 1:6, 7

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the LORD will not hear me. Psa. 66:18 -- My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not, And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and he is the propitiation for our sins. I John 2:1, 2​

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psa. 61:1, 2

He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For when I am weak, then am I strong.

II Cor. 12:9, 10 -- When (Peter) saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? Matt. 14:30, 31 -- If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. Prov. 24:10 -- He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Isa. 40:29 -- The eternal God is. thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Deut. 33:27 -- Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power. Col. 1:11​

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. I looked for some to take pity, but there was none. Psa. 69:20 -- At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me. II Tim. 4:16

The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. Matt. 8:20 -- Here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. Heb. 13:14

Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb. 12:1, 2​

Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died. Rom. 8:33, 34 -- It is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Lev. 17:11 -- I am the LORD. The blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. Exo. 12:12, 13

There is ... no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. Rom. 8:1

What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Rev. 7:13, 14

Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Rev. 1:5, 6​

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. Isa 25:8 -- Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself. for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. Isa 60:20 -- The inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. Isa 33:24 -- The voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. Isa 65:19 -- Sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isa 35:10

I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction. Hos 13:14 -- The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. Then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 1Co 15:26,54

The things which are not seen are eternal. 2Co 4:18​

Fear not ... I am he that liveth. Rev. 1:17, 18

We are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. Eph. 5:30

He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead. Col. 1:18

This corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. I Cor. 15:53, 54​

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. John 13:13 -- If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. John 12:26 -- Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matt. 11:29, 30

What things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Phil. 3:7 -- Being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Rom. 6:22

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. John 15:15 -- Thou art no more a servant, but a son. Gal. 4:7

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh. Gal. 5:1,13​

His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor. Isa. 9:6 -- Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding, I have strength.Prov. 8:14 -- Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psa. 119:105 -- Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.Prov. 3:5, 6

O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself. it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. Jer. 10:23 -- Thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. Isa. 30:21 -- Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. Prov. 16:3 -- He knoweth the way that I take. Job 23:10 -- Man's goings are of the LORD: how can a man then understand his own way?Prov. 20:24

Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.Psa.73:24 -- This God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.Psa. 48:14​

As he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation. I Pet. 1:15 -- He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. I John 2:6, 29 -- Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God. I Cor. 7:19 -- Whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. James 2:10

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing, as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God. II Cor. 3:5 -- Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes. Psa. 119:33

Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Phil. 2:12, 13 -- The God of peace.... make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ.Heb. 20, 21​

Verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. In all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren. Heb. 2:16, 17 -- Upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. Ezek. 1:26 -- The Son of man ... which is in heaven. John 3:13 -- Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. Luke 24:39

He made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow.Phil. 2:7-10 -- Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Our Saviour Jesus Christ.... hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. II Tim. 1:10

I am the resurrection, and the life. John 11:25 -- Because I live, ye shall live also. John 14:19 -- We are made partakers of Christ. Heb. 3:14 -- Partakers of the Holy Ghost. Heb. 6:4 -- Partakers of the divine nature. II Pet. 1:4 -- The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. I Cor. 15:45, 51, 52

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. Rev. 4:8, 9 -- Who liveth for ever and ever. II Tim. 6:15, 16 -- The blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; who only hath immortality. 1 Tim 6:15, 16 -- Unto the King eternal, immortal.... be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. I Tim. 1:17​

Gideon said unto them, I would desire a request of you, that ye would give me every man the earrings of his prey. (For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.) Seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not. Jer. 45:5 -- Lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh. II Cor. 12:7

Let nothing be done, through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Phil. 2:3 -- Charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own. I Cor. 13:4, 5

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me Matt 11:29​

I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me. Jer. 33:8 -- Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from ail your idols, will I cleanse you. Ezek. 36:25

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5 -- If the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Heb. 9:13, 14

He saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known. Psa. 106:8 -- Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake. Psa. 115:1​

As the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptised into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. I Cor. 12:12, 13

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. I Cor. 1:9 -- That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. I John1:3

If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. I John 1:7 -- These words spake Jesus. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us. John 17:1, 20, 21​

Every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. I Cor. 9:25-27 -- Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. They that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Gal. 5:24, 25 -- For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Rom. 8:14 -- Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. I Tim. 4:15​

Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name: thou art mine. Isa. 43:1 -- The sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name. And the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. John 10:3, 4

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. Isa. 49:16

The foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. II Tim. 2:19 -- We have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God. Heb. 4:14 -- Thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel. And Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial. And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment. And thou shalt set in it ... four rows of stones. And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel.... and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the LORD. Exo. 28:9, 12, 15, 17, 21, 30

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. II Cor. 12:9, 10 -- I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only. Psa. 71:16 -- The gospel of Christ ... is the power of God unto salvation. Rom. 1:16

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Phil. 4:13 -- I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. Col. 1:29 -- We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. II Cor. 4:7

The joy of the LORD is your strength. Neh. 8:10 -- Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. Col. 1:11​

Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matt. 1:21 -- He humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. Phil. 2:8-10

Messias ... which is called Christ. John 4:25 -- The LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives. Isa. 61:1

The last Adam was made a quickening spirit. The second man is the Lord from heaven. I Cor. 15:45, 47 -- My Lord and my God. John 20:28 -- Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. John 13:13-15​

The world passeth away, and the lust thereof. I John 2:17 -- Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them. Psa. 39:6 -- What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. Rom. 6:21

Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: but one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Luke 10:41, 42 -- I would have you without carefulness. I Cor. 7:32

These things I have spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world. John 16:33 -- The Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. II Thess. 3:16 -- The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: the LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: the LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Num. 6:24-26​

The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost. John 14:26 -- What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God? I Cor. 6:19 -- It is God which worketh in you. Phil. 2:13

We know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Rom. 8:26, 27

He knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. Psa. 103:14 -- A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench.Isa. 42:3

The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matt. 26:41

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. Psa. 23:1, 2​

Jesus ... because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him -- seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Heb. 7:24, 25 -- Now unto him that is able to guard you from stumbling, and to set you before the presence of his glory without blemish in exceeding joy, to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, [be] glory, majesty, dominion and power, before all time, and now, and for evermore. Amen. Jude 1:24,25​

Seeing ... that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace. Heb. 4:14-16

The beloved of the Lord, shall dwell in safety by him: and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders. Deut. 33:12​

Thou boldest mine eyes waking. Psa. 77:4

Who is like unto the LORD our God.... who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth! Psa. 113:5, 6

He doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth. Dan. 4:35 -- Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known. The love of the Spirit. Rom. 15:30 -- The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost. John 14:26 -- In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them. Isa. 63:9, 10

Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. I John 4:13 -- After that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession. Eph. 1:13, 14 -- This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Gal. 5:16, 17

Godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. I Tim. 4:8​

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Jer. 17:9, 10 -- Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. Psa. 90:8 -- The Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter went out, and wept bitterly. Luke 22:61, 62

Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, and needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Psa. 23:1-3

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isa. 53:6 -- I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. John 10:11 -- I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick. Ezek. 34:16 -- Ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. I Pet. 2:25​

I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me. And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. Jer. 33:11 -- God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psa. 46:1 -- I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Psa. 91:2 -- Who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! Deut. 33:29 -- As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? II Sam. 22:31, 32

If any man love God, the same is known of him. I Cor. 8:3 -- The foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. II Tim. 2:19 -- The LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psa. 1:6 -- Thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. Exo. 33:17​

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Matt. 6:25, 26 -- Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
