It is much easier to read and it just looks better. My only gripe is that some signatures are waay too big.

You can hide signatures.

Hover your mouse over USER PANEL, select PREFERENCES, and down toward the bottom, there's an option that says:

Show people's signatures with their messages.

Uncheck it, and voilà!

No more signatures.

Yeah signatures have been a problem for a long time in that you can either turn them off and see none of them or put up with the few people whose signature takes up a whole page just so you can see the signatures of most that don't. At one time there was a setting that you could roll up most of the signature only seeing about 2 lines of it and expand (unroll) those signatures you liked to see but a forum "upgrade" took care of that custom code.

You don't lose a thing by turning off the signatures, that's for sure.

Actually many people give information about how they think in their signatures such that when you are debating them you already know their stance (bias) without having to "feel" them out through multiple exchanges of posts. If there was an option for signatures akin to the quoting of long posts I've seen here where the pictures are downsized and you have to click to read the entire post it would be nicer and maybe people who have larger signatures would want them to not appear as such and would downsize them to fit.

Then I stand corrected. ;)

I am considering turning them off because too many of them are just too big.

I went ahead a shut them off. There is enough information about the person in their post bit. I don't need the signatures.

That is because I removed it. There is no need for me I have all that stuff at the bottom of my post.
ok.... I didn't mind the picture there myself I find when the signature is over twice the size of the rest of the post(s) then you have to try and ignore it for the post itself (including the avatar and information)

I didn't like the black and white so switched it to the original right away. But I do love the new features even though it's taking getting used too for an oldie like me. A couple of things though I miss, the rep feature changed to 'like' which is very facebooky to me and it takes away the change to leave a private comment on the post that we had with the reps. Any chance of bringing that back? The likes are so impersonal. Another thing that also is making the site more impersonal is that in the separate forums we can no longer see who's there with us in the forum. That was such a wonderful feature, you felt like you weren't alone, that would really be a plus to bring back.

I also noticed when I came on just now that the right side bar in the individual forums (not in a thread) is taking up half the page. This is making the forums list of threads squashed together and a title takes up five lines with broken up words. Is this because of the new skins tweeking? Is it necessary to have that right side bar? It feels like an invasion to me, can we possibly have a option to view it or not (X close box)?

Thank you

As to the above, I've found a way to enlarge the thread topics area by control scroll so I don't see the side bar and can easily read the topics now. ;)

As Emily Letella would say, 'Nevermind' :D

This site is so much better now. I think the tech admins did a very nice job. Thank-you. I do think it would be nice to have some colour options, for the background. I like the cleanness of the black & white, but I think a soft gray background would be easier on the eyes. Would this be possible? To customise the options?

I like the new format, but it runs much slower on my computer than the old one, so I probably won't be coming here much anymore. This is the only site that runs this slow on my computer.
You can scale down some of the stuff from here that loads onto your computer.

Becoming a site supporter will make the ads go away; and you can use adblock plus to remove the social media links (facebook, etc.).

You can also make tweaks from your PREFERENCES menu to do things like keep signatures from loading and the like.

The only thing this skin needs is the individual font colors back, but leave all the fonts the same. It would look fun.

I do like it better than the original. One thing I would suggest is to make the background a few shades darker, and the middle a shade or two darker. There's still too much white so it feels glaring. It's definitely better but there's still so much white.

I think both styles have possibilities. Some will like the new white format, others like myself like the older one. I appreciate having the capability of being able to choose the one that fits me best.

Thanks for all of your hard work. This thanks goes to all who are striving to make the forum even better than it was. I have a couple of requests but will let the dust settle from all the current changes being made first.

God bless and Faithfully,
