With the disclaimer that I have never read comic books and have no idea how faithful to the stories the movies are...

I love Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. The character he creates is fantastic to me.

He is excellent as Iron Man. IIRC, he is under contract for just one more Iron Man role, which will be Avengers 3.

I think this may be the reasons in Age of Ultron, he is kinda leaving the picture with War Machine resuming in his place, IDK.

However, Tony Stark did suffer quite a bit of revision, this character is portrayed suffering darker chapters and personal demons in the comics. Even a serious bout of alcoholism.

Otherwise, Robert Downey Jr really cuts it up onscreen with the other heroes and his villains. This is what Deadpool and Spidey are supposed do (cut it up with wisecracks), but .... never had, sadly.

Likewise, Bruce Banner became the Hulk by pure accident after saving Rick Jones in the comic, he wasn't researching any super soldier serums like it is stated in the Avengers movies.

Likewise, Ultron isn't made of ultralight indestructible vibranium (sic) but indestructible adamantium (the same substance as Wolverine's claws and skeleton).

But these revisions are quite forgivable. Because the movies rock!

But don't get me started on the Mandarin though! o_O

No Spiderman? I voted other. Who are Starlord and Nick Fury?

Starlord is the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Nick Fury is the Samuel L Jackson character, the leader of SHIELD.

Not alot of people like the depictions of Spider-Man on film.

Nick Fury is the head of SHIELD in the Avengers movies as played by Samuel L. Jackson. Not sure how that plays out in the comics.

Its different in the comics, but Samuel L Jackson is a phenomenal actor.

Here is Nick Fury from the comics, he was originally caucasian:

Never seen those movies before, not sure if I will. But if SLJ is in the new Star Wars flick I'll see him there.

I'm glad you put the disclaimer. :) Because his character is written totally diff than the actual character was, so I keep praying for him to die in each movie. Oh well.

For some yes. Not me. I don't forgive such horrid "ad libs." Either portray the characters accurately or don't bother.

Well he's white not black, but that didn't fit today's PC society. I can't wait for an Asian Flash or a Hispanic Wonder Woman.

Anyway I voted Capt America and Wolverine, but could've added "other" for Reed Richards and his eventual wife, both well played (which is mostly to say not over-played) in the movies. Both were very straightforward, non-joke-cracking characters. (God forbid we have any of those in a comic book movie)
