I have a question- Should you be allowed to be Ordained as a Deacon in a Baptist church if you have been divorced before? The Bible makes the point of "husband of one wife". So is it Ok if you divorced your wife on biblical grounds. Also what about a Pastor?

Is it respectful to ask your pastor to retire if he is not being the Spiritual Leader that your Church feels it needs. We want to do God's will. And we don't want to hurt our pastor. Or should we wait till the Lord tells him it is time to move on.

I think it depends on at what point in life you are at. If you are 24 and your future wife is 14 I think that could spell trouble. If you are 34 and your girlfriend is 24 I think that would be more in line. Most guys I know would not let their 14 year old daughters date a man that is 24.
