Angel Sightings?

Have any of you felt that you've ever seen angels? I think I have. I'm not talking about knowing that you've got angels watching over you - I've plenty stories of that!

However, one time my mom was driving and I saw these people stranded on the side of the road and they were pushing their car. I told my mom we should stop to help them, but she said no and kept on driving. However, I kept telling her that we should really help them. If anything, we could call my dad if we ended up needing that.

She finally turned around and by the time we got to where they could've been by only manually pushing a car, it was gone - completely disappeared out of sight!

I think God was testing my heart - and maybe my mom's heart, too.

I was left with a feeling of awe, but my mom just kept coming up with theories that these "people" had found a way or were faking that they were having car problems. I think they were angels.

Anybody have similar stories?

God has allowed me to see angels on quite a number of occasions. At the risk of sounding really flaky, I have 3 that are with me all the time (sometimes I see them--usually I don't).

I've heard of people that know angels are with them. I knew a gal who could see people's guardian angels.

This is not something that I talk about very often, but since I started I guess I should finish.

First... are there angels that are with us and minister to us? Scripture says yes. Hebrews 1:13-14

13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

In Psalm 91, it says

9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

As to what the angels I have seen look like...well, different ones look different. There are times when I have seen one or 2 at a time, sometimes several and other times when I have seen hundreds at once.

The angels I have seen resemble humans in appearance. Some had no wings that I saw. Some had 2 wings. Some had 4. Some had 6. I was in a situation where I was being mugged and one 'materialized' as a little old lady-- startling the mugger who ran off-- and then stepped into the shadow 3 feet from me and either disappeared or walked through a concrete wall. (That was wild!)

As to size, other than the 'old lady', the smallest angel I have seen would be about 8 feet tall. The largest was about 200 feet tall. When that one appeared it was standing in our church--actually the church, which seats 10,000, only came up to it's waist. It was on the news that there were 'strange metereological phenomena' and other people reported seeing a beam of light shining out of the sky down onto the church even though it was night. People were pulling off the interstate, driving up into the church parking lot, jumping out of their vehicles, running into the church and down to the altar for salvation in the middle of service.

Most often, I see them worshipping, but occasionally I see them protecting people.

As to the 3 that are with me-- about 10 years ago when God first started allowing me to see angels, I saw these three every day. It was really strange at first, and I had to get used to it. Each of them is about 10 feet tall or so. One is a warrior of some kind. He is dark complected with black hair and eyes that burn like fire--it's scary when he looks at you-- I'm glad he's on my side. He is covered with armor that I can't tell if it is something he is wearing or it is somehow built into his body. The armor reminds me a little of something you would see in Roman times--breastplate that looks like it is brass or gold, large golden looking belt/girdle, etc. He is constantly 'on guard' and is usually not doing anything other than 'standing watch'.

The next one I call 'Smiley'. He is always laughing and there is just so much joy coming out of him. He is a worshipper and it's almost like he is just 'playing' in the presence of God. He is very fair complected with blond hair and blue eyes. While the warrior is always very military like--standing perfectly straight, etc, Smiley is usually very comfortable, leaning up against a wall or such, just grinning ear to ear and rejoicing in God.

The third angel I only get little glimpses of. He is always standing just behind me on my right. He usually has his hand on my back, and the only way I know how to describe it is like he is being a conduit for the grace of God to flow into me/minister to me.

As I said, when I first was allowed to see them, I saw them constantly. Now, I just get glimpses of them occasionally. I think God let me see them so much so I would be certain of what was happening, and now I just need a little glimpse to know they are still there doing the same thing.

As I said... usually I don't talk about this very often because people freak out sometimes but .... oh, well...that's what I get for being on CF at almost 2 a.m.-- I open my big mouth.

If you have questions, I will try to answer them... I just don't want people to get hung up on angels... they are not the most important thing. The most important is Jesus... they are just servants of the master.

Well I praise God for allowing you to see these angels. That's a wonderful gift.... wow. And I understand you don't want people to get 'hung up' on this topic, but I see it this way--people are so hungry for God that the idea you can see His own angels is very comforting. So if we are really interested it still rooted in God.

Well I hope you make this mistake some more. he he Well, I just remembered a dream I had where I felt the Holy Spirit. In the dream there were these two dogs that followed me around EVERYWHERE and I was talking to them and they could understand me as plainly as you do and they talked to me too. In the dream I felt like these were good spiritual beings sent to me to protect me. I know this sounds very strange. Maybe God has dog angels or maybe he just let me see them in dog form so that I would feel a stronger love for them. (cause he knows how in love with dogs I am (whoa, bad grammar. ha ha) and he knows they are my weakness. he he. I dunno. Either way I can't get this dream out of my head. What do you guys think about this?

Oh, another thing is sometimes when I'm angry or in bad situations I see white sparkles in the air. I don't know if this is good or bad. I get really scared when I see bad spiritual things so I just write it off as my angels. What are your thoughts on this??

The only other two angel sigtings I have had - well, I posted one of them in this same subject thread in non-denominational and the other sighting was a dream I had where I was in my bedroom (i was scared for some reason) and I heard a noise in the living room. I went into the living room and saw an angel that looked like a little boy or girl (couldn't tell) and the being looked at me and started running towards the door. I said, "Wait! Please. Are you an angel?" The being looked at me and nodded it's head. I could feel the wind of it's wings moving and it's beautiful atire was fullly beaded and white as white can be. It was beautiful. Do you guys think this is my angel? It gave me great peace.

My friend said all angels are male. Is this true and if so, why??

That's awesome! I don't know about how my guardian angels look. That's okay because I know I've got them!

If this ONLY happens when angry or in bad (aka stressful) situations, my guess is that it is not spiritual at all, but rather 'seeing spots'... a totally natural thing, stress just causes the eyes to 'mess up'.

So there are 1 or 2 instances where the gender was female??

I may be wrong... but just a thought...

You could be right but I seriously doubt it. This only started happening a short few months ago when the Holy Spirit started teaching me about spiritual things, mostly spiritual warfare. I have seen red glares and spots too. I bind and loosed and covered with the blood (using anointing oil) and the red spots instantly disapeared. Thank you Jesus!!!

I have seen an angel... but I have not seen him since I last had an in-depth prayer session...

The first/last time I saw him was after I prayed in the sunday school room deeply *when no one else was around*
and then me and my friends went down to the church building and I saw him then...

He was covered by a bright shining light, but I saw a sword in his hand...
I knew he was an warrior angel that fought for God. He stood beside the church
as I walked in and I knew I was being guarded for whatever came against me.

Maybe I don't see my angels is because God knows that I be like "Oh my gosh, what is happening to me am I losing my mind?!" But on the other hand it might be the most peaceful experience ever...I'd love to see my angel(s)
