I like both Star Wars and Star Trek. I play Star Wars The Old Republic and really enjoy it but I have to say as far as the movies/tv I prefer Star Trek the next generation. I just liked the characters and plots better then the other Star Trek shows or Star Wars. I also think it doesn't hurt that when it was airing I was in a very happy place in my life. When I see them on now it reminds me of a happy time.
I play TOR as well. It's a great game. Much better than Star Trek Online! :D

I prefer star trek. I tend to like the characters and the older star trek cracks me up. there is a book that had xmen + tng in it. I don't remember anything about it except that it was good.

I never played TOR but I did play STO. I liked the atmosphere, the ship v. ship combat, and the character development. But I grant you it did grow tedious over time. Fighting the Planet Killer was fun.

Well personally I'm a Star Wars person. Our entire family has grown up with it! Hee hee. So here's the big question "Star Wars Or Star Trek?" If you want to put why, that would be super too. (also my favorite dude, and movie is : The forth one (So the first one that came out) and then the Storm Troopers!)

C-3P0 rocks my socks too
Star Trek.

Star Trek, although I like Star Wars too....saw the very first movie in the theater as a kid.
Trek wise, here's where I stand
1. DS9
2. ENT
3. TOS
4. VOY
5. TNG

Enterprise was underrated I think. It took them awhile to find their stride and when they did it was too late. Still, good show.

I know, right?

Go figure.

Enterprise had some real problems. I felt like the show had what can only be regarded as wasted potential, given a excellent cast, and several good episodes. I suspect the sinister influence of the ominous duarchy of Berman and Braga.

On another note, my favourite DS9 moment is where Kai Wynn screams at Gul Dukat "Heretic!" As some may have surmised from my profile. :liturgy:

The same episode that gave us the gem "The bloody Cardies can't be trusted", also gave us this scene that has stuck in my mind because it's a perfect example of Trek over-acting.

Indeed, that rather puts Laurence Olivier to shame.

Hmmmmm. Al most the reverse of me.

4. VOY

6.
7.
8. ENT

I put enterprise at the bottom due to the extreme break in continuity with TOS and TNG. The species and events in Enterprise would certainly have come up in TOS since it was less than a century later.

Yes it was well acted and the writing was good. But to totally leave the overall storyline was unforgivable; especially when Trek Proper allows for alternate universes and storylines. (such as the reboot movies) But there has to be a tie in with the base story. They never did that.
