There was a liberal member here who self identified as a Republican and created discord in what was supposed to be a safehouse. So we migrated to the Social Conservative safehouse to exclude him
Ah hah! Got it.

Dear Government,
We need to talk. You're too high maintenance.
You keep making up more complex and vague rules.
You keep shopping despite being told we're on a budget.
It feels like you're trying to push me away.
I'd really love for us to get back to a simpler time.
I don't know if I can handle your dramatics any more.
If we don't get some help soon it will be the end of us.

Sincerely,

A Confused American

This is exactly how I'm feeling right now.

Hello there! I am an independent, but I usually side with Republicans on most issues. The main things that keep me from joining is that I have lost faith in the two party system, and see Republican politicians as Democrats who hate paying taxes.

Why should I rejoin the G.O.P?

They never stop coming, particularly if they're the real deal, do they?

I feel like the Republican party has always made sense to me. I sometimes side with the liberals on some cases but Republicans seem like they'll do better to fix the problems this country has than the liberals who are so scared to offend other peoples' feelings.

That said, I hope the next president will be a Republican. I can't stand the Democratic party any longer.

It most likely will be a republican. Many people are fed up with the democratic party. Even democrats themselves are switching. All you can do is hope that we get a republican in there though.

Can the Republicans still grow greater in numbers in this country? If that does happen, will it also help Christianity's growth in this country?

Many "Republicans" are sell-outs....like Trojan Horses.

If many Republicans are sell-outs, that is not good for the party or its future. But if there is the case that Christians are sell-outs, that is really destructive to Christianity and to others from the witness.

Many Republicans are "sell-outs" as in being part of the "swamp" and sabotaging ev'ry thing Trump tries to do.

It's amazing what he HAS done, despite the "sell-out" Republicans working against him at ev'ry turn.

Exactly. He also knew what he was up against. Anybody else would've been devoured or just joined the opposition cuz they never had the heart for such a humongous and mountainous challenge from the gitgo.

I did not take Trump seriously at all. i enjoyed the entertainment of the Apprentice show, but that's about it.

THEN during a debate when ALL the Republican contenders were on stage, HE was the ONLY one who brought up what i was most concerned about. He was the only one that had the guts to. All the other ones just spoke the same o' same ol' blah blah blah. When Trump did this, it got my attention. It was THEN that i knew that here stood a LEADER. He was the ONLY one who would dare take on the humongous odds against any real leader of this country.

THAT is when he got my attention. And THAT is when each of those contenders started dropping like flies, one-by-one.

Until there is a viable third party, what choice is there?

I would rather have a Constitutional party, based solely
on bringing the government back down to a limited size
and returning the power to the states and the people.
