hi i'm just new here and i got interested with the topic of dating older women, how about if you are in love to a woman who is 15 years older than you? honestly that's where i'm at right now, and we share the same faith as well
So you are 27 and she is 42...

How did this relationship begin?

Say that a woman is about two to five years older than you, and you're totally interested in her.

Would you go after her or be creeped out and call yourself a cougar chaser?

2 to 5 years? BAH! I dated women in their early 30s when I was in my early 20s.

Doh! Stupid phone posting. I just noticed how old this thread was.... I was wondering when JD came back.

When I was 31 or 32 I was dating a woman in her late 40's. She was built good to. Her body was harder than most 20 year olds I had dated.

It was fun dating her but we both knew it was only for awhile and for fun as we were too far apart in age.

In the end she got hurt and moved back to Texas. I liked her and even told her many times that if things were different I would marry her in an instant but our age gap is just too wide.

If we would have got married she would be over 60 while I am in my late 40's. It does not work out unless you are truly blind.

What is so weird is I have a friend from high school who is in his late 40's and he just married a super hot 19 year old and everybody thinks its ok because he is rich and its a trophy wife. Double standard I guess.

The last time I dated an older woman was when I was 25. She was 28.

I once had an older woman to chase me around my house saying, "First I catch ya, then I kiss ya". I was 4. She was 4 1/2. lol

I married someone who was way younger. Although he didn't say it I felt like an old cow. When I came home from work he was shooting on the computer or XBOX or whatever with his friend who was in his own house with headphones on, yelling. My sister said when she heard we would marry: oh nice, she'll have another kid.
The other way around indeed noone said anything about it. That was considered totally normal. From the old one I got complaints that I was a kid.

My sister is 12 1/2 years younger than her husband. It's not an issue. They're aware of the potential problems that may arise in time due to the age difference and they're okay and capable of handling that.

For myself, I've never cared for the idea of dating a guy younger than me. Especially one that is 5+ years younger. I think the youngest I would be comfortable going with is 2 years younger, but hey...that may change one day. It's not that I think it's weird, it's not. It's just that, for now, it's not for me personally.

I think the age difference that attracts me the very most would be if the guy I'm interested in were 8-10 years older. That's perfect to me. ;) But alas, we don't live in a perfect world, so that may never happen.

Also, I think a woman below 40 dating a younger guy is called a puma, not a cougar.
Over here, we've heard of the term 'Cougar', I never heard the term Puma. Loving it  :D

I'll be honest, I wouldn't be comfortable dating anyone more than one to two years younger than me. When I was in my 20's I had a boyfriend 11 years older but we didn't last as he tended to treat me based upon my age, like I was an "age appropriate bimbo" and he was some kind of wise owl. :D

My daughter flagged up how uncomfortable I was with being a potential cougar though. I went into our local Game store looking for a game for her console and a very young chap (late 20's?) took an uneasy interest in me. I originally interpreted it as excellent customer service until he began to ignore other customers to help me. My face flushed purple and I practically grabbed my little son, made excuses about shopping for said item online and ran out the store. :D So my dd overheard me getting teased by my friends about the incident (made the mistake of sharing it with them). Months later I returned to the store - the dude was still there. I saw him spot me and he began to make his way from around the counter and head towards me. My dd spotted how uncomfortable I suddenly got and as she saw me shooting at speed out the door, she began to put this whining little voice on about why was mommy leaving the store when we just got there!

So no, not Cougar material here! :D

Hahaha oh thank goodness, I was only a puma. He lied about his age and looked older. Some people didn't see the difference but one guy from the local shop told him he had a good looking mother hahahahaha.

All of my recent crushes have been between 32-36 (I'm 29). I don't really think that would make me (or anyone) a cougar hunter.
No that's when she's 45 or older.
We have one famous one in Holland. She's 66.

My other sister is 6 years older than her boyfriend. In fact, he's the third...wait..no...fourth boyfriend she's dated that she's several years old than. Seems to work for her, but then again, she thinks she'll forever be 25, so..

My older sister married a guy who's seven years younger than her, they've been married since 2008, have a four year old, and are doing splendidly. My younger sister's fiancé is about a year younger than her, they've been together four years and are fantastic together.

My ex-wife was about four months older than me. That didn't last.

So I guess 66% of the time it works every time.
