I believe I was physically attacked by a demon.

I was in bed, in really deep prayer and all of a sudden I felt like something was squeezing my leg. I started to say "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus help." And then the squeezing sensation went away. I started to doubt that it was a demon (or any evil spirit). I thought maybe it was just a cramp, then fell asleep.

The next day I was wearing shorts and my mom said "wow what is that bruise on your leg." There was a bruise on back of my leg in the same place I felt the squeezing. I didn't know how to respond. I just played it off as I didn't know. I figure no one would believe me.

I am hoping there is someone that can relate to me.

They can bruise?

Yes they can. But, we warned: Ramenlovesjesus is an atheist and his name is a lie. He started a thread (that is still quite active) where he admitted today that he lied about being a Christian.

That it stopped when you called on the name of Jesus would indicate it was demonic activity. This hasn't happened to me, but a friend of mine was attacked in this way when a certain person stayed at her house. Two times she was in bed praying while this person was in the other room and something started to pull on her leg and hurt her. When she called on the name of Jesus it stopped. Pray for Gods protection and ask Him to reveal to you anything in your life that may be giving the demon permission to attack you. God bless.

If you called on the name of Jesus it could have been anything. My mom has severe leg pain due to a car accident and when she calles to Jesus it can lessen. Also It is completely possible for it to have been a demon. They are still active today even if it is 2013. Just like healing and laying hands on is still something that is going on today.

Demons are spiritual forces; they do not "physically attack" anyone.

I know of at least two people pinned to the floor or bed by demons, the one on the floor occured in church.
I have had two physical attacks by demons, they are fallen angels and angels are capable of doing things physically

Perhaps you should read books about the monks of Mt. Athos, or St. Anthony, or Elder Paisios, or any number of saints. Demons historically can and do sometimes attack Christians physically.

Luke 9 42 “And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.”

Plus there are other Scriptures.

Of course, the most important part is that Yeshua healed the child.

Yes, but that person was possessed by a demon; and he was not a Christian.

He was not being outwardly attacked by a demon that did not possess him.

This shows the real threat to Christianity in the western world. We turn it into a self-help group by denying the supernormal parts. First, we deny demons and hell. Then, we deny angels, followed by the resurrection, followed by the divinity of Christ, followed by the existence of God.

We replace all that with mental illness, guilt, intuition and conscience, Jesus the philosopher/teacher, and finally, the "Higher Power" that may or may not be God (but it might be a great computer and we are all just AI).

Jesus believed in demons and Satan. He understood their power over the physical world. He spoke to them and rebuked them. Was he a superstitious lunatic?

I'm not compromising with people on this subject anymore. I get so tired of the posts by people who check the Christian box on CF and don't believe any of it...or just decide to believe the parts they want. Do they really think that they're going to come in here and take away some person's faith? Do they really want that?

Luke 13 When Yeshua was teaching in one of the synagogues and the woman with a spirit of infirmity was healed, it was a spiritual problem that manifested in a physical way. She probably had been going to the synagogue all that time for 18 years.

Yeshua is our healer.

What does that have to do with a simple muscle cramp? Seriously? I mean I get the whole this is a a Christian website and everything but there is logical medical explanations out there. It just seems a bit foreign and odd to be thinking it is a demon or something superstitious in the year 2013.. It is a muscle cramp, easily explainable. I know what those are because I have had them in the past and they hurt like @#!*% for a little while.

If he concerned he should go to the doctor and have it looked at.I would provide a link about muscle cramps, but can't till 50 posts.

The Bible says in the book of Revelation that a mass of demons, like frogs, are going to be released in the end times.

You really don't belong here if you are not a Christian unless you are seeking God.

AMEN!
He also gave us authority over them in Luke 10:19.
