Well Paul called those who attacked the grace message slanderers.

Paul wrote Hebrews 10:26-29, and this is not slandering the message of God's grace... it is the correction of how satan has been falsely twisting the real Biblical grace message and turning grace into lasciviousness (Jude 1:4)

The Holy Spirit said thru James (the Lord's half brother) that faith without acting like what you believe is true is not actually faith which is what many today are doing... drawing close to the Lord with their speech, but their hearts are far from Him which is evident by their worldly lifestyle which they think God accepts inspite of the New Testament teaching He does not.

Agreed... but, people need to be taught true biblical grace versus false grace

When the lense is as cracked as it is today with the many denominations obscuring which is the right way, a statement resembling the first error the fruit of knowing good and bad .. is not entirely encouraging

but working with this before there was a bible there was grace, i believe since this is one of the more experiential oriented forums (spiritfilled, charismatic) the experience of grace may be more authoritative than any theology . it seems by premise the letter has replaced the spirit's initial role as the one who leads into all truth .. so in that law vs grace and letter vs spirit seem to be coinciding .. it seems the church in many visible ways has chosen that which opposes grace from the very foundation of its thinking

so perhaps it isn't true vs false .. but a truth that just is .. just like Jesus is the I am . and sets us free .

That explains why so many Christians are living in sin just like the world... yet, claim to be Christians.

the bible does say that the power of sin is the law . so that would add up . though i don't go so far to insinuate that they are or aren't christians . that's up to God who entrusted all judgment to his son .

With the revelation of the false grace message... those that openly live in sin claiming to be Christians yet have no problem with sin... are not showing the fruit a Christian would show according to the Bible.

This is different than someone who is struggling with a sin and knows it's wrong and is seeking help both from the Lord and from the Body of Christ... while utilizing 1 John 1:9

In some so-called Christian Bibles schools, "professors" are actually teaching that once you confess Jesus as your Savior... you can live in sin all you want.

Evangelist Steve Hill has a daughter in Bible school and one of her teachers is actually teaching this to students, openly at a well known Bible school... this is what they teach at religious cemeteries now days!

Freaky how people cannot read the Bible and understand what it says... folks have to have satanic help to miss the simple message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ meant to free us from living in sin.

they don't teach that . but it appears to be demonstrated . in the demonstration is the key . if the good news is good news . it will be apparent . if this good news sets one free from the dominion of sin .. it will be apparent .

Actually... I'm finding out that some actually do come right out and say things like "when you sin, it means nothing to God" which I recently heard Joseph Prince say on his TV show.

So, this is actually saying it doesn't matter if you go out and sin or not... most Christians act like the Gospel is rocket science (kinda like dealing with legal issues, or medical issues) and just cause some preacher has a nice TV show and appears to be successful... they believe him!

Some will go to hell over this, and that's too bad...

false grace is when it's no longer a gift ;)
... but something you earn or think you deserve.

We do not deserve grace and the more we don't deserve it the more we have it--where sin abounds, grace that much more abounds. My concern is not the grace I receive--that is always more abundant than I could ever hope--but how much I show to others. Grace, like love, is not to be stored-up; it is to be passed on. And the more we give away, the more we have.

IMO, of course. :)

i tend to read it . if Charis can be earned then it is no longer a Charism

in relation to your observation i recall a saying "God gives grace to the humble"

Good times

Is "hyper-grace" when people start saying, "God does not chastise those he loves and He does not tell people to repent. There is no such things as sin for anyone in the world because Jesus took all the sin. No one has sin. So there's no need to repent of sin, what sin.."

Is that "hyper-grace"?

well... yeah, people can twist things/definitions, but in it's truest sense, one can't pervert real grace, because it alone is the only power over sin, so it would actually be impossible to sin by grace, it would be like trying to start a fire with water, we can't do it.:)

I just noticed the "Galatians is the best!" under your avatar. :)

That's one of my favorite as well. :)

John 1:17
"For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ."

Bless you.
